Just that really. For the second time I have placed an online order , paid for next day delivery and IT FUCKING DONT PITCH UP!!
You can’t speak to anyone cos phone lines close at 4pm?!
Bastards

Yep shite. Used their online service for the first time recently to have sth delivered to store-twice I was told it had arrived, twice the staff couldn‘t find it. Got a refund after several emails and a Tweet threatening trading standards. Like the clothes but the staff are surly at best, rude at worst.

ButchyRestingFace · 30/10/2018 22:18

I've found this with a lot of stores. Next day delivery my arse. Angry

Aintnothingbutaheartache · 30/10/2018 22:29

Isn’t it so infuriating tho!?
Especially if you wait in for delivery and\or need the item for a particular date and have paid extra?!
The worst is when you’re following it on email, tracking etc then all trace of your order just disappears 😡
I fucking hate them!!!!!!!!!

OP posts:
MoveOnTheCards · 30/10/2018 22:31

Same with Topshop (although now we have more reasons not to bother ordering from them). 😡

QueenOfMyWorld · 30/10/2018 22:32

Had this with asos recently, they refunded my delivery in the end.

JosellaPlayton · 30/10/2018 22:33

ASOS let me down this weekend the bastards. They promised 2 day shipping and it took 3! Still pretty impressive considering it came from the U.K. to the US but DONT MAKE PROMISES YOU CANT KEEP. Rant over.

ButchyRestingFace · 30/10/2018 22:34

Especially if you wait in for delivery and\or need the item for a particular date and have paid extra?!

Yes, that's the bit that annoys me. "Oh, we'll refund you the delivery charges" says the voice on the other end of the phone.

I don't fucking CARE about the £4.50 next day delivery charge being returned to me. I care that I took a day of work/whatever and sat in my house all fucking DAY waiting for something that never arrived, and now can't be home again to receive it without having to juggle/wait a week for redelivery.

Fucking delivery companies!!!!!

BrieAndChilli · 30/10/2018 22:36

On Friday I ordered a Harry Potter costume online with party delights. Paid bloody £8 for next day delivery (which would be Monday but that was fine) got an email on Sunday to say actually it wasn’t in stock so I would be refunded, I had actually added some Halloween bits on to my order - just a few pounds seeing as I was already paying for delivery but nothing I would specifically pay extortionate delivery for! They were still delivered so I have stil paid £8 delivery Angry
I then found the costume with matalan, paid £5 for next day delivery which as was ordered on weekend would be delivery today (Tuesday) - guess what, it hasn’t been delivered. Hermes website hasn’t been updated since yesterday saying waiting for parcel from sender.
DD is going to be gutted and I’m so angry that I’ve paid 2 lots of next day delivery and still don’t have what I wanted!!!!!!!!

Aintnothingbutaheartache · 30/10/2018 22:37

I feel slightly better......thank you.
I’ve still got fuck all to wear to tomorrow’s do........
Wait...... no.....not better.....
Baaaaassstaaarrrrds!!!

zara has a whatsapp service, so you can message them.

i used it a few weeks ago and they pretty much replied straight away.

Aintnothingbutaheartache · 30/10/2018 22:41

That’s crappy Brie especially when it’s for dc.
Don’t you just love ordering say;
Heart chocos, to be delivered February 17th
Witch hat, to be delivered November 2nd
Christmas pudding hat, to be delivered January 10th
They are not just bastards they are shitty mc shit faces

OP posts:
ThatPurpleCat · 30/10/2018 22:59

I've had the same with Next. When I phoned they said "oh we are sorry did you need the item urgently?" Confused
Um yea that's why I paid for next day delivery. Mind you they use Hermes so I shouldn't be surprised!

SistersOfHearsey · 30/10/2018 23:41

Dorothy perkins did it on me last month, waited in all day....nothing. Just before 6am the following morning i was rudely awakened by the courier shoving my packet through the letterbox.
I complained to them and they reckoned the courier had marked it delivered next day as ordered. I asked for a refund of difference between standard and next day delivery and they refused still claiming it came next day.
Only when I told them I could give them cctv proof of the bloke waking the entire house up did I get a half arsed apology and a refund.

Clairenewbie · 30/10/2018 23:51

I don’t buy online so wouldn’t know. Item could end up to big or small or worse all stained and ripped. Why not just go to the store and buy there? wouldn’t that not be easier and that way you get the correct size also?

Aintnothingbutaheartache · 30/10/2018 23:58

Claire the WHOLE point of buying online is that you can do it from your sofa wearing nothing but a t shirt whilst eating a pot noodle ffs! 🙄

OP posts:
Clairenewbie · 31/10/2018 00:28

again wouldn’t kno don’t eat pot noodles and prefer to see and feel things before buying them, keeps shops open in the high street and store assistants injobs

Fabellini · 31/10/2018 00:34

There isn’t a Zara on our High St though Clairenewbie .....or a Monsoon, or Gap, or dedicated fancy dress shop - so online it is.

Aintnothingbutaheartache · 31/10/2018 00:45

Oh Claire I’m absolutely totally in favour of keeping our high street shops going really I am.
I’m sure you’re a very lovely person but no pot noodles? 🤭
Sometimes it’s not so easy to get to the high street, on line shopping should deliver what it promises. Yes sometimes it doesn’t fit or is a bit disappointing but come on!

BrieAndChilli · 31/10/2018 01:15

I looked in all the local shops and on the weekend drove the 25 miles to the nearest city. No Harry Potter robe in the right size to be found hence the ordering from the internet paying a premium for next day delivery.
Plus you know some people work until 6pm and have kids to sort and out to bed and weekends full of ferrying said kids to various activities/appts. Or some of us live somewhere where the high street consists of hair dressers, charity shops and wacky boutiques. Or some schools spring the latest ‘dress up as’ day on you with about 2 days notice so yes, often ordering online is easier/quicker/the only option.

JamButtyLand · 31/10/2018 01:25

Claire- how do you do that if you are 6ft 2 and only fit in tall, which they don’t stock in store?

AnotherOriginalUsername · 31/10/2018 01:28

@Clairenewbie a lot of stores don't stock a lot of stuff in the shops.

I'm plus size, tall and pregnant. I cannot seem to get larger sizes, longer lengths, or maternity clothes in any high street store without having to order online, never mind a combination of all three of those things!

Celticrose · 31/10/2018 02:00

Not next day delivery but a parcel I picked up in M&S last week but only opened Monday. I ordered some crockery taking advantage of my 20% discount only to find the 2 cereal bowls had been replaced by 2 white dinner plates (bowls £2 plates £5) but charged correct amount. Rang them and told very sorry for their mistake and they would send replacement bowls and to keep the plates which was good as I did not want the bother of returning them

Mummyoflittledragon · 31/10/2018 02:04

Claire
How do you do that if you’re disabled and too ill to shop?

@Clairenewbie you have a little look online and find me a pair of size 24 maternity jeans in a 34" inside leg that have availability in store for collection today within a 50 mile radius of my postcode (BS23)
