More antibiotics, amoxicillin this time, and codeine

How you doing OP? Any luck at the emergency dentist?

Tooth pain is the absolute pits, I really hope you get the treatment you need asap

ConciseandNice · 07/11/2018 18:23

Tooth pain is the worst pain I have ever felt. It is so bad that at one point I thought I’d have to end my life because I couldn’t cope with the thought of it continuing. I broke down when I was given local anaesthesia and needed to be hugged by the dental nurse. You have my sympathy OP. Anyone who is minimising toothache on this thread truly has no idea.

Sorry just seen the update, I was on the last page by mistake.

emmapemma91 · 07/11/2018 18:47

@eeeby it actually went through my head last night when nothing would take it away and I could not sleep. It’s indescribable just hope these antibiotics take the edge off

I'm so sorry. I recently had that type of toothache, it's the worst pain. Happily it's died down now and I can live. It will go soon OP, but you really have my sympathy Sad

Are you doing salt water mouthwashes? If not start cos they help. Only go to AnE if your swollen otherwise they won't do anything. Have you tried metronidazole? If the amoxicillin doesn't work request those next. Keeping it clean is the most important thing.

emmapemma91 · 07/11/2018 19:27

i do corsodyl and saltwater washes through the day. Had metronidazole twice which is why they’re trying amoxicillin now I think.

Be careful with corsodyl as it can stain your teeth. Hope you get it sorted. Have you looked at going privately?
