To Think Animals Should Taste How They Look?

Goldenbug · 20/10/2018 09:36

Flamingos should taste of candyfloss.

Parrots should be like Tutti frutti ice cream. (When frozen of course).

Zebras should be liquorice or cream depending on which stripe you lick.

Badger - Mint humbug.

Zebras taste nice just as they are (especially in the slow cooker) Grin

Badger (indeed most carnivore/omnivore meat) taste foul. Mint humbugs would be a massive improvement.

Biggreygoose · 20/10/2018 12:32

If it helps squirrel does taste/smell a little nutty.

headinhands · 20/10/2018 12:41

Slugs taste of liquorice.

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 20/10/2018 12:41

OP are you advocating eating them or just licking them?

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 20/10/2018 12:44

How do you know they don't? Maybe WhiteCoyote just got a bad badger.

Cronesquerness · 20/10/2018 12:54

Really they should taste of blood and shit and veins and skin, until the salt is added.

Goldenbug · 20/10/2018 12:55

Then WhiteCoyote should take their badger back to their badgermonger for a refund.

Squirrels really should taste nutty because of the nut eating. The red ones look a bit like they should taste like the inside of a Daim Dime bar.

Apparently, shrews are very bitter.

KC225 · 20/10/2018 13:02

Goldenbug I am in Sweden and have a very industrious red squirrel nesting in my garden. We have called him 'red'. I shall enjoy watching him all the more knowing he tastes of diam bars.

emwithme · 20/10/2018 13:04

I licked a cow once, expecting it to taste vaguely beefy. I was Very Pissed Off when it tasted like shit and fur and farmyards.

(In my defence, I was 6 and it had just licked me)

PositivelyPERF · 20/10/2018 13:05

Slugs taste of liquorice*

I think you pick one, then get back to us after you finish throwing up

PositivelyPERF · 20/10/2018 13:06

Lick

waxy1 · 20/10/2018 13:09

The bitterness of shrews is a case of smallest mammal syndrome.

WhiteCoyote · 20/10/2018 13:09

Next time I’m deffo taking the badger back for a refund.

I remember grooming licking the cat when I was 5 or 6. Oddly he didn’t taste of ginger as his fur colour implied.

waxy1 · 20/10/2018 13:10

The flesh of pigs actually does taste of pork though.

Goldenbug · 20/10/2018 13:10

I meant what should they taste of. Not what they do taste of. I don't want a light hearted thread to lead to complaints in the news about Mumsnet leading to an outbreak of animal licking.

I love this. You have a wonderful imagination OP.

Not sure it would work for all animals though, if you licked a goat for instance, I suspect it would just taste goaty.

RavenLG · 20/10/2018 13:14

The red ones look a bit like they should taste like the inside of a Daim Dime bar. Grin Grin

Cows (the brown and white ones) should taste like chocolate milkshake.

Pebblespony · 20/10/2018 13:18

Adult male goats definitely goat. But cute & playful baby ones prob taste like sherbert.

Pebblespony · 20/10/2018 13:19

Apparently its spelt shetbet.

Pebblespony · 20/10/2018 13:19

Aggh@! Sherbet.

GiveMyHeadPeaceffs · 20/10/2018 13:30

I have a very fluffy almost torty cat...she would taste of salted caramel chocolate!

pigsDOfly · 20/10/2018 13:42

Pale ginger cats will taste of butterscotch.

LiquoricePickle · 20/10/2018 14:14

I'm with you on the parrot.

Tigers should taste of orange and liquorice.
Beige guinea pigs should taste like cream puffs.
And different shades of brown horses should taste like different coffees.

MrsBobBlackadder · 20/10/2018 14:20

My cat's paws smell of digestive biscuits. I'd have to be paid a lot of hard cash (or be extremely drunk) to lick them to see what they tase of though.
