DP is away approx every 2 weeks. He’s on work trips in Europe.
The work takes place in European castles. I’m jealous.
The day is a maximum of 5 hrs talking at people. The 5 hours is broken down into 2 x 1/2 hour breaks & 2 x 2 hour workshops.
There is always a team building activity i.e cocktail making class, wine tasting etc.
I’m jealous.
There is always a 5 course dinner and a free bar.

I get a blow by blow account of the activities & food porn photos.

I’m eating a salad cream & crisp sandwich.

AIBU to block him for the duration of his ‘work ‘ ?

Just tell him to stop telling you all the details.

DH once rang me to tell me how he'd taken a helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon as part of his work jolly to Las Vegas. I was sat in our suburban semi with a vomiting toddler in one arm and a vomiting newborn in the other - I hated him in that moment. It's making me cross just thinking about it now.

I think YABU and he should be able to share his fun with the person he loves and you be excited and happy for him.

YANBU to want to have some fun of your own though. Could you schedule dinners out or pre prep yourself something nice/pamper evenings/movie night or whatever stuff you enjoy whilst he is away?

Oh & the company he’s working for (can’t name) are flying him out next week for a 1 hour workshop - me : ‘ WTF can’t you Skype ? ‘ seeing as I’m the taxi driver. Now I know why the EU has gone to shite

I'm kidding , I do understand how you feel. I was insanely jealous of dh going out for his office xmas lunch last year. While he was eating a three course lunch with TWO hands , I was at home with our newborn eating one handed foods while (cluster) feeding the baby.

Every single week I ask ‘Products please ‘ ie all the high end bath oil , shampoo in the room . Nada.

Since I don't know what salad cream is, I'd recommend you go with sliced banana and peanut butter sandwiches instead. Honey is optional but favored by some.
