AIBU?
Why’s there no Pumpkin Spice?
CabanaBayLife · 14/10/2018 22:46
Hi,
I live in the UK and the only Pumpkin Spice thing I have found is the PSL from Starbucks and Greggs Bakery. My AIBU is why is it so big in America but not in UK? Gutted I love Pumpkin Spice
How can I buy Pumpkin Spiced products and shipped to the UK.
Is there anything that we can get in the UK that people really want in America?
Thanks in Advance x

There are pumpkin spiced brownies in the co-op, I’ve had some. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen pumpkin spiced popcorn too.

Just make some? They’re hardly difficult to find herbs

Pumpkin isnt popular in the uk. Ive always wanted to try pumpkin pie (and no im not gonna make my own)

'Pumpkin spice' is just a mixture of common powdered spices- cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ginger. Make some yourself!

A quick google gives a recipe - 1tsp of cinnamon and quarter each of ground cloves, allspice and ground ginger. Then add to anything you like.

Aldi sell a pumpkin spice liquor too apparently according to google. Have a look in your nearest big supermarket - if they have an American or international aisle, there might be things there. I’ve seen pumpkin pie filling in the American aisle of Morrison’s for example.

I was in Starbucks the other day. It wasn't just the lates. Everything had pumpkin in it. Pumpkin cake anyone?

Baby, Sporty, Scary, Posh.... nah, the nearest thing we’ve got is Ginger.

I'm in the US. Our local wine store had a sign outside last week (it is known for its signs) saying "pumpkin spice crap is here". Sums it up for me really.

I got pumpkin spice skinny coffee syrup in TK Maxx and Pumpkin Spiced Quaker Oats in Poundland within the past couple of weeks.
Would agree with others that it’s just a mix of spices like cinnamon, clove, nutmeg etc.

Have a look in TK max - they've loads of hot drink syrups in at the moment I'm sure you could find a pumpkin spice one for your coffee

What on earth is pumpkin spice? Is it a spice mix? My pumpkin pie recipe in my American cookbook uses cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. If that's what "pumpkin spice" is then it would be pretty easy to make your own.

GreenLantern make friends with an American, that’s how I got to try pumpkin pie for the first time! I tried making it since but I think being American is an important part of the recipe because I just can’t get it right
