To compare Eugenie and Meghan

And say Eugenie won hands down re her style? I thought she was elegant and regal and beautiful.

And this is your preferred way to spend your Friday evening, is it? Getting people to criticise compare two high profile women? Waste of time. Both looked great and distinctive.

Jack is much more attractive than Harry. He also seems a more serious person.
He seems less likely to get dressed in a Hitler fancy dress outfit for one thing. Lol

He was so emotional and happy today and yet so composed. A bit of a contrast with Harry who was so fidgety and looked so uncomfortable.

Loved Eugenie's dress from the waist down, especially the rear view. The skirt was amazing. But I didn't like the neck line at all, and loved Meghan's slash ballet neckline. Eugenies's sleeves looked far too long and too loose. But I'm referring to the dresses and not the women.
What is striking about Eugenie (and Beatrice) is how like Victoria they look. I like thinking about the aesthetics of things - it isn't necessarily sexist to do this.

Why can't anyone say anything about Meghan on MN without being accused of being racist? I don't particularly like her (or her image as I don't actually know her) but it's got nothing to do with her race.

Out of the two dresses I preferred Eugenie's and her tiara was stunning.

But imagine if you got married a few months ago and people said “yeah wel this wedding I went to, the other bride looked better”

In fact, Beatrice looks even more like Victoria.

I got married the same day as Meghan. I totally rocked my charity shop frock. And my do was more fun.

My in laws got pissed. My family got pissed. I was pissed as a fart.

Any other 2018 absolutely doesn't cut it .

Eugenie's dress fitted properly that is the difference I noticed. Loved the tiara.

Eugenie looks like Andrew and like Fergie sometimes. Bea is getting more like Victoria.

I thought Meghan and Eugenie's dresses were both so plain and dull.

Kate's was amazing imo.

Personally,

1st- Kate (I loved the lace and sleeves)
2nd- Eugenie (classic with a modern twist, she looked amazing)
3rd- Meghan (very boring dress, ill fitting, veil was stunning. They were probably going for simple as she is such a beautiful woman but it didn’t work for me)

Somebody on another thread said there was a medieval feel about Eugenie’s whole look, the greenery and so on.

I'm not the op but they are public figures being funded in some way by the tax payer...so, yeah, I'll judge away. I doubt they give a dam.

How did Meghan's dress not fit properly? (Genuine question) I thought it looked fine.

I didn't like her makeup in that she looked too flushed but I preferred both the dresses and makeup to Kate's fussy one. I do like that she chose to show off her scar but she didn't give me that gasp of historic grandeur that Meghan did, walking down the aisle in her plain gown and stunning veil, silhouetted and looking like a medieval or Tudor princess.

I just don't see why it was televised. They didn't do that for Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly and that was at the same venue and the same relationship to the Queen - in fact, her first grandchild and first to get married. Did they televise the Wessexs' wedding, also at the same place? I can only remember photos on the steps as it was a "family wedding" - of the Sovereign's child rather than grandchild. The only reason that there was television of Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall was that the wedding was in a parish church on the High Street of the capital, and so much for security - all the Royal Family were there and the general public were as close as if they had been at the bottom of the steps of St George's Chapel.

Overdone and overhyped by parents who are overly entitled and incapable of fading into the background unlike the Wessexs, or other minor royals such as the Gloucesters and Kents. Yawn.

No doubt the usual crap about blood princesses will be spouted but her cousin Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor had equal right to be "a blood princess" except her parents refused it, knowing how minor they were in the scheme of things, and Zara and Peter Phillips have the exact same amount of royal blood with none of the entitlement.

Lots of comments on Mumsnet at the time about the fact that the bodice was ill fitting.
