How do I put this?

Hi everyone just wondering what you would all do in this situation.

It's a little sensitive but just recently I've suddenly noticed a very strong smell coming off my best best friend. I know she is a very clean person who showers daily and uses AP.

I know this can be actually quite a serious symptom but I'm not sure what for?

I want to address this to my friend and let her know but I want to handle this sensitively and help come up with solutions instead of just being like oh you smell and not actually helping her in any way.

What can I do to help her? And what can the smell be a symptom of? (The smell isnt fishy) ita quite a sour stale sort of smell.

Please go gentle I may not of worded this great but I just want to be a good friend to her because I love her.

Re the coconut oil and hair masks, actually I had that horrible smell once when I added rose scented essential oil to an organic shampoo and then after using it realised that the essential oil was based on coconut oil...

I've had a chat with my friend it was actually totally fine she wasn't upset at all we had a bit of a laugh about she did say she hasn't changed anything she can think of but it's quite possible that ingredients in her shower gel have changed or could be to do with coming off the pill she asked me what I would do in this situation I said I would probably try some plain soap instead as it could very well be an oil or moisturiser in the shower gel reacting on the skin. She said she's going to try that first and see how she gets on if she has no joy she is going to book a doctors appointment. She thanked me for the honesty and sais she's glad I told her instead of keeping quiet as she hasn't noticed anything herself. Guess I was worried over nothing but despite 1 poster who feels the need to be rude and pick holes in everything I've written I'm glad I came on here for advice first.
