For being pissed off that a fb 'friend' is selling (what are clearly) stolen supermarket items on face book?

Someone on my friends list has begun selling an array of super market items, mainly cleaning products, baby milk, cheese and coffee, on her face book page and it's fairly obvious she's either stolen these items her self, or is selling them on behalf of someone else.

There's numerous photos of the products and messages from other's asking her for her prices and offering to buy whatever.
I'm really disgusted by this and hate thieves, and I'm thinking of screen shotting everything and reporting her to the Police (anonymously though)

Is there any point?. I can't 'proove' where these items are from after all, but I'm livid that this c.f. has the nerve to deal with stolen goods and sell them online!
What would you do in this situation?

I see Lichtie and LeftRightCentre haven't responded to my questions yet.

Maybe they’ve gone off to work like you have eleven billion times

PortiaCastis · 06/10/2018 19:33

They're probably watching strictly

Rockandrolling · 06/10/2018 19:39

Eleven billion times? Confused

"Lichtie, where did I actually say these recent products have funded her holiday and designer clothes?"
You didn't, I did. You just brought up her not working and having her family in designer clothes and taking foreign holidays... (How big is her TV, you missed that one out?)

" Maybe this bundle of stuff I've just seen are just a long line of many previous ones."
Perhaps, but I doubt it, you seem to keep a pretty close eye on the news feed 😉

"considering I posted this thread YESTERDAY, it shows you've not read things properly! And I didn't say 'today' yesterday either"
I stand corrected, you are indeed correct. I jumped to an assumption based on your stated morals for your toleration of such heinous activities (as yet unproven)

Hope that's answered your questions. And apologies for the delay

Don't forget that link when you stream your citizens arrest, I can pause strictly 😁

Rachie1973 · 06/10/2018 20:05

When our local co-op closed they sold everything at 20% or less. We had over £1000 of baby stuff, toiletries and cleaning products for less than £200.

Rockandrolling · 06/10/2018 20:21

So basically Litchie, you've admitted to coming to your own conclusions regarding the 'holiday and clothes', yet it's ok to take the piss out of me for what you imply is me 'jumping to conclusions' about this woman?

OP posts:
Lichtie · 06/10/2018 20:35

Yes Rockandrolling, basically that's it. (except I didn't come to any conclusion on the clothes. For all I know they are replicas or gifts).

So, how big is her telly?

Rockandrolling · 06/10/2018 21:22

Except I didn't come to any conclusion on the clothes

Below is one of your comments too isn't it Lichtie?
And it has funded designer clothes and holidays.

Say no more.... FFS.

@Rockandrolling you've asked AIBU?

Yes you are!

😂 You're a hoot. Was that in the same post that I talked about her online sales division for her criminal empire? I would have picked on that first if you don't recognise sarcasm which it appears you don't.

To clarify, I'm making no assumptions about her life, her clothes, her holidays, her selling stuff. I don't think she has a criminal empire, and I don't think this is an online sales division. 😂 Can't believe I needed to spell that out.

So the TV, any update?

Rockandrolling · 06/10/2018 22:05

Oh of course I understand sarcasm. I must've missed your attempt at being witty Hmm. I just thought you sounded like a twat to be fair.

Although, on second thoughts, constantly going on and on and on...... about a tv, well you really do sound like one. Anyway, I'd love to continue with the 'banter' but I'm bored now.

Lichtie · 06/10/2018 22:11

😂 So you understand it but missed it, well done.

I'm out too, but if I were you I would check and see if your friend has any wine for sale, sounds like you need a drink 🍷

Zoflorabore · 06/10/2018 22:18

I've got a bit of a dairylea habit but I wouldn't buy cheese from dubious creatures for various reasons.

I mean, it could have been concealed somewhere less than fresh.

My neighbour bought stuff from someone like this recently and tried to get a refund for some reason. As if Grin

Rockandrolling · 06/10/2018 22:21

Sounds like you need a drink

And it sounds like you've already had one.
I'm done.

Belina · 06/10/2018 23:47

Report her but nothing will happen because you have no proof they are stolen

Belina · 06/10/2018 23:51

Never get why people shop lift cheese and meat why would anyone buy these things off a random person on the street they could have done anything to it

Koalablue · 07/10/2018 01:41

Could she be dumpster diving?

WiddlinDiddlin · 07/10/2018 02:23

I don't know if its still possible but certainly it USED to be that you could work supermarket loyalty card points, plus vouchers, in such a way that you bought tons of stuff on the offers, sell off the excess AND at certain points of the year, convert your supermarket points to double or triple their value on other things.

All perfectly legit and whilst the supermarkets would rather people didn't milk the system, very few people could really put the work in to make it worth while.

A mate of mine did, it funded (over the course of years) trip to spendy holiday destination and new car among other things and yes, she would have excess items to sell on.

Rockandrolling · 07/10/2018 08:12

Zoflora, yes down the trousers is an often used 'hiding place' for shoplifters!
