Pulling up weeds by the root - gives me shivers. I can’t even walk past them in the street.

Buying stationery
Cleaning my dcs ears

bananafish81 · 05/10/2018 12:46

I highly recommend the sub reddit 'oddly satisfying'. You'll lose hours!!

bizzers · 05/10/2018 13:06

ShotsFired I ALWAYS see people falling asleep before we've even taxied - and then there I am with a massive grin on my face because IT'S NEARLY TIME FOR TAKE OFF! I refuse to do anything else until we've left the tarmac. Proper aviation nerd, me. Grin

GetOffTheTableMabel · 05/10/2018 13:24

Cleaning the lint out of the tumble dryer.
Writing on bananas with a biro. I used to write a message on my dd’s lunchbox banana every day. People thought it was because I was a lovely mum but it was really because writing on bananas gives me a thrill.
They don’t have packed lunches anymore. Sad

I do the rolling up a crisp packet and tying it in a knot thing too.
Peeling all the coating off fish fingers and eating the fish and the coating separately.
Eating all the chocolate of a Bounty bar or magnum/ choc ice etc before eating the inside (bit of a theme emerging here).
Curling ribbon for present wrapping with scissors -the noise! The curly ribbon! The joy!

BexleyRae · 05/10/2018 13:58

The noise the visor in my car makes when I put it up

Bananasinpyjamas11 · 05/10/2018 14:30

Yes to getting new stationery. Lovely!

Rolling down the window in the passenger seat with music up loud and feeling the wind in my hair in th countryside.
As above, getting non drinking DP to drive home through the city at night totally long way around so I can look at all the city nightlife and just take it all in. Girls falling over their high heels, couples hand in hand, people shouting into their phones, gangs of people, someone on their own looking sad, an early road sweeper. Love the nightlife.

bananafish81 · 05/10/2018 15:06

This is deeply soothing

(it's totally SFW!)

Causeimunderyourspell · 05/10/2018 15:10

@TroysMammy Shock what do you do with the arse covered hair after removal?!

Thursdaydreaming · 05/10/2018 15:21

@TroysMammy I was scrolling through this thread and I thought I should post something about long hair and bums. But I thought no, it's to hard to explain and no one would get it anyway. Then the next post I read is yours.

Daisymalone · 05/10/2018 15:38

Pulling hair out of the plughole 😊. When you start pulling a few little strands then suddenly get the big release when a clump come out... Sorry that's a bit gross. Although in my house there's just me and DH and he shaves his head so at least the hairs all mine...

Thatstheendofmytether · 05/10/2018 15:43

Squeezing blackheads and spots.
Cleaning ears.
Pulling out ingrown hairs

I'm a disgusting person Blush

DisspicibleMe · 05/10/2018 15:44

I love doing laundry. If I want to treat myself I'll buy some new fabric conditioner. I could sit and watch my clean washing flapping on the line for hours.

Reading a book and managing to not get a single crease in the spine.

PlinkPlink · 05/10/2018 16:03

Getting the foil off a new coffee jar but I like to pierce a small bit at the side and then perfectly remove it so there's only a small bit of foil left on the glass part.

Cleaning ears with earbuds

Cutting wrapping paper by gliding it

Retrieving ingrown hairs

Buffing the ridges on my nails out

Pulling out my white hairs which are not too numerous, as of yet

Opening parcels in the post that I forgot I ordered (the excitement)

Putting on a fresh set of gel nails

Packing the shopping away and observing how full and aesthetically pleasing the cupboards and fridge are

sabrinathethirtysomethingwitch · 05/10/2018 16:34

This thread has made me realise I'm not as much of a weirdo as I thought Grin I get thrills from nearly all mentioned

Lulusmother · 05/10/2018 16:35

De Nitting children with nit comb and conditioner. De fleaing cat with a similar comb. Ooh and at school putting that white glue on the back of your hand and peeling it off!

sabrinathethirtysomethingwitch · 05/10/2018 16:39

@TroysMammy I am roaring. So funny. I do this too Grin

Charley50 · 05/10/2018 16:41

Opening a fresh tin of tennis balls.

JellieEllie · 05/10/2018 16:57

@TroysMammy that made me laugh so loud I woke up my partner from his afternoon snooze 😂😂😂😂 I laughed because I do it too!

PlinkPlink · 05/10/2018 16:57

@TroysMammy

Do you get disappointed if they break off before you get them out? You know... if they get trapped or stuck then they snap... then you have to hunt for the other half? 😂😂😂

Don't ask me how I know this.

KitandPup · 05/10/2018 17:01

I can't remember the name but those pictures lots of tiny holes that some people hate

DonDrapersOldFashioned · 05/10/2018 17:06

Plucking my eyebrows in my scary illuminated magnifying mirror.

Racecardriver · 05/10/2018 17:14

Online shopping.

Pinkyponkcustard · 05/10/2018 17:17

Pulling hair out of my brush, especially if it’s a bit clumpy

Poodles1980 · 05/10/2018 17:45

Smoothing our a piece of foil after I have unwrapped something. The dairy milk ones used to be great. Squeezing a new bag of ground coffee so you can smell the coffee smell through the little valve in the packet. Putting my hand into raw rice or lentils- it feels so nice and soothing.
