Pulling up weeds by the root - gives me shivers. I can’t even walk past them in the street.

Another weed puller here.
Also the satisfaction of plucking an eyebrow hair and seeing the bulby bit at the end. Ooooooh!

Getting into fresh bed sheets

Pulling out pubes, ideally seeing the bulb bit, and if it's a really long and fat tube bulb I'll often nibble it off

Smell of a freshly opened quality street tin

Plucking chin hair ..it's a love hate thing

Bathing in the blood of my kills

(I may be at that slightly manic point of sleep deprivation where I think I'm hilarious but everyone else just thinks I'm wierd)

Oooh where do I start?! I think life is so much richer when you stop to really appreciate the little things like:
Bubble wrap
Fresh sheets
Buying a new notebook
The sound of ice cubes falling into a glass on a hot day
The funny diamond patterns that bounce around on the bottom of a swimming pool in the sunshine
When kit kats used to be in foil, slitting the foil with your fingernail by sliding it down between two fingers
New foil on a jar of coffee (sadly lost to me now that I only ever buy refills)

And on the grosser end of things:
Spot squeezing
Removing gunk from the corner of your eye and pulling away strings of it that go around your eye Blush

I get a little buzz out of seeing the same people at the same time every day.

On my morning walk to work there's the lady having a fag outside the bookshop, the man who is always struggling up the hill on this bike, the woman who waits for her kid in the swimming pool doing a colouring book...there are lots.

It sort of makes me feel weirdly cosy.

Ah these are all fantastic! So many I thought were just me.

I like it when everyone slows down and pulls over for an ambulance. Feels like everyone is trying to help by doing the right thing in an emergency and I feel proud of us all 😊

I used to like the smell of Sunday colour supplements in newspapers, but they don’t seem to smell of much anymore 😟

Making lists and ticking things off. I have even been known to add a forgotten thing to a list after I’ve done it anyway, just to tick it off.

When I've hung washing on the line outside, I always have to look back and admire it just before go in the back door.

WhipItGood · 05/10/2018 07:59

Grin I do that too golden!

Also if I tidy up a cupboard or room, I go back to admire it a couple of times (before family life trashes it all again)

Whipit I read a book once about getting things done (I am a terrible procrastinator) and the suggestion about lists was that the first 3 items should be:

  1. Something you have already done, so you already have something ticked off.

  1. That thing you're not looking forward to/been putting off, to get it tackled straight away.

  1. Something you enjoy, so you have a reward for doing that awful thing you don't want to do.

Once you've done those 3 things you are well on your way to getting through your list!

Pressing the button on the vacuum cleaner and watching the cord whizz back in. Still seems like witchcraft to me.

That’s a good tip Duggees I’ll give that a go. I’m also a terrible procrastinator which I think is why I make lists anyway Blush

Working with really big machines (where their tyres are as tall as I am) it's the power thing of them making me feel insignificant rather than the in control powerful work woman I have to be. (Thankfully I work in construction)

I said I read the book WhipIt I didn't say I put any of it into practice Grin

Well not past a 3 item list anyway Grin

Surviving a trip in a glass lift. Even if it's just in Reading John Lewis so all of 3 floors worth. Growing up I was lead to believe glass lifts = dicing with death. I all so like looking out of tall buildings when everything is small.

have long hair and when I wash it in the shower a few loose hairs slither down my back and congregate in my bum crack. When I feel a tickle there later I love shoving my hand down the back of my trousers and pulling the long hair out from my bum.

🤣🤣

The optician looking right in my eye. So close, yet you cannot touch each other. It’s just full-on in that moment, until they swivel away and everything’s back to normal social convention of interactions again

Me too Spaniel but my optician is a Greek bloody god pretty much, he's beautiful Grin

I work in a motorcycle dealership, my office is pretty close the workshop. When the technicians rev the engines of the big bikes it still gives me a thrill every time.

This is my favourite thread ever! I’ve laughted out loud at some of these!
I also love ticking off a list, and also add things later on that I’ve alreay done just so I can tick it off.
Peeling anything! Plastic lids, wallpaper, if it comes off in a big bit it’s so satisfying. I love the noise a car makes when it reverses fast.
