Rules: just pick one or the other. Don't say "neither"! And don't say it should be whom not who

Theresa or Boris?

LTB

Theresa

Topseyt · 03/10/2018 21:12

Theresa.

Not that I am any great fan of hers, but Boris is just a self absorbed arsehole and a national embarrassment.

Whoisshequestionmark · 03/10/2018 21:14

I trust the shit on my shoe more than the pair of them.

EvilRingahBitch · 03/10/2018 21:14

May. Appears to be a conscientious grownup - though not, unfortunately, the political genius the job currently demands.

BoogieFeet · 03/10/2018 21:15

Theresa

UpstartCrow · 03/10/2018 21:18

Neither.
Theresa just has a nicer face than Boris. She's been at best asleep at the switch through a lot of social changes instigated by her party that are tearing apart our society.

Boris reminds me of Trump so much I'm convinced he's some sort of clone.

ArrivisteRevolt · 03/10/2018 21:42

Boris is smarter.

As in, I have read his books on Rome - he is a clever bunny. I know that is hard for those people who want to paint him as some sort of thick Trump type. He isn’t thick, he has ideas and purpose - that is how he got this far.

But - I can see the way this thread is going... don’t be surprised if there are lurkers who agree with me but don’t post!

BlackeyedSusan · 03/10/2018 22:08

theresa.

boris is out for himself.

LaurieMarlow · 03/10/2018 22:16

Boris is smarter

I'm sure many would agree. That doesn't make him more trustworthy though.

ErrolTheDragon · 03/10/2018 22:25

You might hope that if Johnson had learned anything about politics during a Classics degree it might have been the corrosive effect of popularist demagogues on democracy.

Smart isn't the same as wise.

BarbarianMum · 03/10/2018 22:26

Oh I agree that Boris is smart. That just makes him more dangerous.

Boris

Streambeam · 03/10/2018 22:47

Theresa by a mile.

And I am a Corbynista!

But I think history will look back kindly in TM if she can keep us from the abyss that is BJ, JRM and no deal Brexit.

She could have thrown in the towel several times these past two years and buggered off after DC. She’s sticking it out and I grudgingly admire her.

Giggorata · 03/10/2018 22:50

Reluctantly, Theresa.
Christ, not Boris. Ever.

plominoagain · 03/10/2018 22:56

Theresa , even though I loathe her with a passion .

Boris , I like him, he amuses me , and he was charming when I met him , but if I stood between him and something he wanted , I sure as shit wouldn’t turn my back on him . Not for a second .

LauderSyme · 03/10/2018 22:58

Theresa, definitely. Boris is contemptible.

Talith · 03/10/2018 22:59

Boris isn't actually smart he has just had the benefit of an expensive education. I don't know what he really believes about anything.

Teressa I am afraid.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 03/10/2018 23:21

Theresa

Boris is utterly ruthless but I think his ship may have sailed. I don’t think he plans to really challenge her until after Brexit but people are now looking at her differently to what they were even 3 months ago

But he is very popular still but as time goes on he is starting to look like a back stabbing agitator something that never goes down well here

Genevieva · 03/10/2018 23:30

Actually I think Theresa is the ruthless one. Inept in lots of ways, but a control freak and ruthless in the way she deals with her fellow Conservative politicians.

Boris has blown his reputation by being too much like a bull in a china shop. He used to be popular when he was on Have I Got News For You.

What a choice though! There are others. Sajid Javid springs to mind. Far more subtle than Boris, but equally keen on the top job.
