Rules: just pick one or the other. Don't say "neither"! And don't say it should be whom not who

Theresa or Boris?

thecatsthecats 😂 I think my cat Malcolm would do a better job too 😂

In all seriousness I’d marginally prefer Theresa over Boris, but think they’re both rubbish. For me Boris’ only appeal is that he’s not JRM

Theresa

DoraJar · 03/10/2018 16:09

Malcom the cat is my preferred option!

FaFoutis · 03/10/2018 16:13

Theresa, and I can't stand her either.

MetalMidget · 03/10/2018 16:14

If you put a gun to my head, I'd say Theresa May. Boris is a racist twat, and an utter buffoon.

It is a bit like having to choose between a shit sandwich and a pint of piss, though.

StoneofDestiny · 03/10/2018 16:23

They are Tories - so neither.
Boris is a vile specimen, racist, cheating, mysoginist who was in the Bully Boys club at university, so he is a vandal and a hooligan to boot. He'll stick anybody in the back if it preens his ego and fulfills his ambition. He hides behind buffoonery ~ and only the gullible can't see through it ~ so he is scarily like Trump. If he carries the support of his party then they are a ship of fools.
Theresa, with her personality bypass, is the lesser of two evils but the sooner Tories are out of government the better. It was the Tories who got us into the Brexit mess in the first place!

Ninoo25 · 03/10/2018 16:25

I wonder if there was another election and Lord Buckethead stood against Theresa May again who would win this time? 🤔

Littletabbyocelot · 03/10/2018 16:42

I am not convinced about cats as prime minister. Have you seen how they treat things they perceive as smaller / weaker (excluding those in their tribe) ? I'm pretty sure they'd all join the Tory party.

(disclaimer, I adore cats)

Annandale · 03/10/2018 16:50

Trust to do what?

To be a human being who i could actually trust to do what they said, treat individuals reasonably decently, help me out? Theresa by lightyears.

To be so rigid they constantly tie themselves up in knots and prevent themselves taking any kind of effective action because they prioritise party unity over effectiveness? Theresa.

To be the sort of lazy conniving shitpeak who might actually be ruthless enough to cut through the Brexit knot, piss off a chunk of the Tories, split the party and delegate some real decisions? Boris. And i hate him so much i feel sick at the thoight but maybe he is the food poisoning we have to go through to puke up the Brexit toxin.

IdahoCrow · 03/10/2018 16:51

I think I'd like to give Abba a go at running the Cabinet rather than Boresa.

formerbabe · 03/10/2018 17:12

Theresa...I think she's a genuine person in a shit situation.

Ninoo25 · 03/10/2018 17:54

#TakeAChanceOnMe is definitely the best option so far 😂

HurricaneFloss · 03/10/2018 17:56

Priti Patell 💟 Boris
Nadine Dorries💛 Boris

Clearly they are not Mumsnetters.

Theresa. No contest

PathOfLeastResitance · 03/10/2018 18:19

It really is neither.
They can both get in the sea.

Talith · 03/10/2018 18:20

Theresa obviously.

Talith · 03/10/2018 18:21

She dances like a puppet because she can't dance. Boris dances like a puppet because he knows it makes him look less privileged.

MorrisZapp · 03/10/2018 18:23

Theresa. Obviously.

PickAChew · 03/10/2018 18:31

Theresa. I think she has some integrity but her attempts to achieve some semblance of concord and collaboration between the factions within her party are about as effective as trying to teach a choir of orangutans to sing Handel's Messiah.

AnotherPidgey · 03/10/2018 18:39

Theresa. There is something slightly admirable about her dogedly trying to get a result out of Brexit while sandwiched between the warring factions of the Conservatives including Mogg and Boris, the DUP on the effects on NI and dealing with the toss pots within the EU who have no great interest in actually reaching a workable compromise. Given that Dave scarpered the next morning after landing us in the shit, I'm quite impressed that she is stubbornly clinging on, if only in the absence of any form of competition from any party.

Boris was fine as London mayor (albeit that I'm a long way from London). Cabinet material or Prime Mininister, no.

And Corbyn is hardly in the wings poised for a general election to sweep control from a well-loathed, tired government.

Mrsmadevans · 03/10/2018 18:39
