Couple charged with assault for trying to buy water in Rochdale Tesco

Obviously don’t know the full facts, but the photos
Show the police being pretty heavy handed.

They look Muslim, so presume don’t drink alcohol, they have regularly buy the water from other branches of Tesco.
This behaviour by the police looks like the sort of treatment meted out by racist officers towards African Americans in the US.

I am disgusted by the thuggish behaviour of the police and I hope Mr. Hussain succeeds in his complaint to the PCC.

The two PEOPLE involved in this incident have been released without charge and are now suing the police.

No evidence of buying water for resale

@claireScot - just because they are released without charge doesn't mean they haven't done anything wrong. They have a business selling stock to shops and admit buying water in other stores in bulk. The store has a right to limit an offer.

As for calling me racist - you would feel very silly if you met me and my brown family in real life.

They looked like they were out to cause a scene. The man was very mouthy and arrogant and the woman was yelling "stop hitting me" when she clearly wasn't being hit. If you resist arrest things are going to get physical and unpleasant.
