Obviously don’t know the full facts, but the photos
Show the police being pretty heavy handed.

They look Muslim, so presume don’t drink alcohol, they have regularly buy the water from other branches of Tesco.
This behaviour by the police looks like the sort of treatment meted out by racist officers towards African Americans in the US.

I am disgusted by the thuggish behaviour of the police and I hope Mr. Hussain succeeds in his complaint to the PCC.

Maybe they were in danger of dying from dehydration because they couldn't buy the water? Grin

MsHopey · 30/09/2018 19:37

I can't believe someone spent their time making something so ridiculous.
I also read about the kidney transplant meaning they need more water than your normal family, but this wasn't mentioned in any of their interviews.
They seem to have changed the story several times to gain more sympathy as a hard working teachers favourite drink wasn't cutting it they had to move onto a life threatening operation.

Atlantea · 30/09/2018 19:43

surely if you had a kidney transplant the last thing you would be advised to drink is a load of sugary water?

tazzle22 · 30/09/2018 19:52

Thank you Charlie , much appreciated.

It's amazing how social media turns these incidences into huge events ...which is often what the people want. Using the racist card in such circumstances, where these two people were so obviously goading in my opinion, demeans situations where true racism takes place but does not get the coverage.

Charlie97 · 30/09/2018 19:54

@tazzle22 again do much sense! Well spoken!

Charlie97 · 30/09/2018 19:55

*again so

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 30/09/2018 20:14

Now we know why Aliens have never made their presence known.

Took one look at some the twats on this planet and fucked off home again.

So many people jumping on the band wagon, they wont all fit.

tazzle22 · 30/09/2018 20:32

Lol Tali.... tho lol maybe not... have you seen the film " The day the earth stood still " very sobering indeed if we have the audacity to believe we are the only , and most advanced , life in the universe.

Thanks again Charlie.... I don't often post and rarely get responses so it's nice to be acknowledged.Smile

Has anyone been watching the ridiculous "petition"? Except it isn't a petition as it doesn't actually call for anything to be done

Instead it seems a roost for the illiterate and the deranged to throw around charges of "raaaycism", "police brutality" and all the rest

KlutzyDraconequus · 30/09/2018 21:03

It's no wonder I have misanthropic leanings.
How can people, with jobs and families and partners and friends etc be so fucking idiotic? It baffles me beyond belief.

"Here's a heavily edited video showing exactly what we want to show..."
"We blindly believe it to be true without question"

I swear people think the internet is a land of naught but honesty and truth.

MsHopey · 30/09/2018 21:04

55,000 signatures for a petition that at no point states what they are petitioning for. Madness.
I do think some people are joining on the band wagon with quotes such at this.
Some people don't even seem to know what's going on but are still signing the petition with no demands.

RebelRogue · 30/09/2018 21:20

That petition is hilarious. justice for Tesco couple.Hmm

Much more useful if instead of signatures they donated Volvic water bottles.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 30/09/2018 21:28

Yes, I noticed the same one, MsHopey Wink

Like I said ... deranged

Benandhollysmum · 30/09/2018 21:37

Maybe they come in and out every few days to buy water which would raise suspicion, I’ve seen people bulk buy milk and bread and it’s obvious it’s to be sold on. But saying that they sell water so where does it matter where it goes after that? except when it’s winter time and certain shops up their prices when there’s a milk and bread shortage then they deserve to be arrested

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 30/09/2018 21:48

Sooooo what's the petition for? Who does this go to. This is bizzare

MilkyTea20

Go away you feeble minded goady tit.

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 30/09/2018 22:34

Errrrr, it was Mr Twatty man who got the police involved, not Tesco.

Allergictoironing · 30/09/2018 22:37

MilkyTea20 how on EARTH have you missed the dozens of posts confirming that it was the customer who accosted police officers who happened to be in the store buying their lunch, it was NOT Tesco who asked the police to intervene.

Nicknacky · 30/09/2018 22:43

Why exactly have I to contact my mp!?

RebelRogue · 30/09/2018 22:48

@MilkyTea20 the man called the police over!! Not Tesco!
What exactly are you complaining about?

CecilyP · 30/09/2018 22:50

I think it is even in the video. The guy was so arrogant he really expected the policeman to back up his demand to buy the trolleyfull of water. When that didn't happen , instead of backing down, he escalated the situation to such an extent it lead to his arrest. Talk about hoist on his own petard!

Puzzledandpissedoff · 30/09/2018 22:56

Sooooo what's the petition for? Who does this go to

We don't know - it doesn't say, and just seems to act as a ranting page instead

I did think of asking, but somehow I don't think that would be wise Grin

coolmule · 01/10/2018 00:34

It's absolutely outrageous for Tesco to even try and use police to enforce a water- buying policy, and they should be prosecuted.
Except Tesco didn't, what on earth makes you think it did?
