Obviously don’t know the full facts, but the photos
Show the police being pretty heavy handed.

They look Muslim, so presume don’t drink alcohol, they have regularly buy the water from other branches of Tesco.
This behaviour by the police looks like the sort of treatment meted out by racist officers towards African Americans in the US.

I am disgusted by the thuggish behaviour of the police and I hope Mr. Hussain succeeds in his complaint to the PCC.

I view the officer in the film as running in the opposite direction

Actively arresting someone and restraining them is running in the opposite direction? Jesus wept.

Still no links at all? 2much not even one?

@2muchtrouble
Store videos me without my consent and I am not about to punch anyone because they do that
You go in to the store, you agree to their terms, dont want to be filmed in their store, then don't go in

If the representatives of the store ask you to stop filming, here's an idea, stop filming

BrownPaperTeddy · 30/09/2018 13:26

Also I didn't ask the customer to leave, she was annoying but I didn't feel I needed to prove anything

Not in that instance but just imagine if her behaviour escalated to the point where you did need to ask her to leave, but she refused (as in this case). Then what? Sometimes there is no option but to remove these people. The only person responsible for this man being arrested is the man himself. If he didn't want to be arrested he should have left when he was asked to, not carried on and on. Then on his facebook page he claims he is like Martin Luther King!!!!

I will also like to thank officers that respond to incidents rather than run in the opposite direction, if only there were more officers like you

Just to be clear I am not a police officer.

tillytop · 30/09/2018 13:30

Rude wasn't allowed to refuse anyone entry, that's the security guards job. Not allowed to retrieve stolen goods until the thief leaves the store. Then, citizens arrest, police called and stolen goods used as evidence.

Nightwatch999 · 30/09/2018 13:30

@CurlyWurlyTwirly so you admit you do not know the facts, yet insisted the Police were racist? Hmm

It's a shame being an idiot isnt a crime..
Some people would be serving life with no chance of parole.
But then I guess stupidity is its own punishment.

tillytop · 30/09/2018 13:40

I notice that yet again, the most worrying issue of police heavy handedness and one taking a swipe, is being distracted from on this thread and how this will probably follow in real life? Have to go now but thanks RudeZebra for giving me a laughSmile. Still laughing at "the nations bravest store detective".Grin

Yes I am a woman and whilst thanks for your offer of support, I don't need it. I've never had a particular issue with being a female officer and we have a high percentage of female officers

I am glad that being a idiot isn't a crime because the prisons would be full of idiots instead of paedophiles, rapists and murders

How on Earth are all those paedophiles, rapists and murderers getting into prisons given the police are, apparently, ignoring them all to arrest idiots?

Nicknacky · 30/09/2018 13:49

Finally 2much gets it! Commit a crime and you get arrested which is what happened to these two idiots

When I go into a store I agree to nothing

You assume I agree

If you don't agree to being filmed in the store then you don't go in.

If you go in then you are agreeing.

No one is assuming anything. You are consenting by virtue of your actions.

Because stores have signs up telling you that CCTV is in operation. That's how you know.

He was arrested after the cop threw the punch,up until then there was no talk of arrest

Firstly I didn't see the officer "throw a punch". I saw him raise his arm which could have been defensive. Secondly we don't know what led to the arrest because crucially that part of the video is missing. Having been edited out by the accused.

Suspicious much? If he had nothing to hide release the full video. Then we can all see for ourselves what happened.

After the cop lost his temper and punched the annoying guy in the face

As I say I did not see the police officer punch anyone in the face.

What was the crime?

No idea what the crime was. Breach of the peace? Resisting arrest? Assaulting a police officer? Acting in a manner likely to cause distress? (no idea if that's a crime but if it isn't it should be)

BrownPaperTeddy · 30/09/2018 14:01

There is an allegation of an assault but if the assualt happened as a result of the unlawful arrest then it is null and void

Also an allegation that the man threw a bottle of water at the cashier's head. I'm guessing that's an offence?

Puzzledandpissedoff · 30/09/2018 14:02

You are guessing as to what was going on

You're right, Nicknacky - but then, to an extent we're all in the same position

The difference is that some of us say quite openly that we can't know, while others make themselves look foolish trying to pretend they do

BrownPaperTeddy · 30/09/2018 14:02

In this video there is no crime committed

You mean in this heavily edited video released by the defendant?
