Obviously don’t know the full facts, but the photos
Show the police being pretty heavy handed.

They look Muslim, so presume don’t drink alcohol, they have regularly buy the water from other branches of Tesco.
This behaviour by the police looks like the sort of treatment meted out by racist officers towards African Americans in the US.

I am disgusted by the thuggish behaviour of the police and I hope Mr. Hussain succeeds in his complaint to the PCC.

Deliberately missing the point 2trouble.... the point was that we do not say all doctors are murders because of this...and I can think of others... example.

You are saying ALL police are thick and corrupt.

Well I was truly thankful for compassionate police officers that attended , comforted me and cut my friend down from where I had found her hanging. For being supportive as I woke her mum to tell her and then gathering evidence discretely , asking permission to take it even though in reality I could not have refused.

One gave me his phone number saying I could call him anytime for advice or support.

Those same officers have to then go out and deal with abusive drunks, joy riders, carnage at RTCs and deal with people like you who have made up their mind that all police are thick , abusive and conspirators.

I get it that your have had a bad experience with one policeman and that yes, some crimes and criminals are not solved or brought to justice and there are some less than angelic police cos... you know... the police force is made up of human beings. There are too few of them to deal with everything ...it's not the police we should blame...it's the criminals !!!

The original video is highly edited and the male is goady and out to prove racism, police brutality or some other cause. Every seller is allowed to limit special offer items to a certain number per customer ... the store was right to ask him and he refused !!!

Just read yesterday's M.E.N to read about cops turning their backs on vulnerable children, while they deal with public enemy number 1 they could've been protecting children less than 5 miles away

So that officer was in Tescos dealing with a vulnerable child when that man called him over? Fuck me that's awful. I hope that man realises what he's done! How do you have this information?

Is it the same place you found out about the gang rape and arson? You sadly still haven't got around to explaining that Sad

BrownPaperTeddy · 30/09/2018 12:51

I had a customer wanting to make a complaint, she was being annoying, her complaint was stupid,I was in no way responsible for the complaint

Rather than punch her in the face I gave her the website where she could complain turned my back on her and walked away

And that's great and in the vast majority of cases will end the confrontation. Equally when you walked away she could have followed and continued to escalate the situation. What then?

Or in this case the man was refusing to leave when asked and continuing to perform for his audience. What could Tesco staff do? He wouldn't leave. When he wasn't getting the desired response HE called the police over. The police asked him to leave. Once he refuses that then becomes a different issue doesn't it?

And yes I watched the same video you did. I saw an obnoxious twit being rude to staff. Ranting about his rights to buy water - wrong - his right to film in a public place - wrong, it was private property - and refusing to leave said private property.

Then I watched him argue with police and resist arrest. I watched his wife yelling that she was being punched when nothing of the sort was happening.

All of this with judicious editing which makes me wonder what happened in the edited bits. Particularly when it suddenly went from him shouting to the police trying to restrain him. Wonder what he did to provoke him being arrested in that manner and why, if he was innocent, is the footage not included?

tazzle22 · 30/09/2018 12:56

The store was right to ask him to leave... he didn t but I presume the woman in your store did. If she had refused to leave, was videeoing you without your consent and getting in your space....bet anything you would be wanting police there to remove her.

Anyway... there us no point talking to someone who is not listening and is pursuing thier own agenda.

RudeZebra · 30/09/2018 13:00

Yes we would much prefer you to be dealing with grooming and paedophiles but when children go to the police you turn your backs on them, too busy dealing with idiots

Just how much autonomy* do you think officers have? Response officers are a slave to the radio. You don't get to pick and choose jobs. You are sent where the control room determines there is the most risk (a good 80% of the time I disagree but that's a whole other thread) Sometimes you are unlucky and some arsehole accosts you in the street and you end up dealing with a nothing problem, before getting back to whatever you were dealing with before. The idea that an officer would simply ignore sex offences in order to deal with this, or some pointless Facebook harassment is simply ludicrous. You honestly do not have the first clue.

  • you seem to be struggling with basic comprehension and this is a tricky word so I've helpfully linked to a dictionary for you. en.oxforddictionaries.com/

Rather than punch her in the face I gave her the website where she could complain turned my back on her and walked away.

Well that's fine with a customer who is so compliant! What would you have done if she had chased after you, got in front of your face, all the while ranting and raving about her rights? What if she had her equally aggressive husband with her and they were effectively preventing you from doing your job? You do know that if it hasn't happened yet, it only a matter of time!

tazzle22 · 30/09/2018 13:02

Thank you to the police officers here... how many critics have experienced all the situations you do and would be able to resolve them in just being very nice and appealing to people better nature or common sense.... Very few I bet. ! Police officers do this when they can ...no one arrests on a whim...the paperwork is an aversive to that for a start !!!

tillytop · 30/09/2018 13:05

So why did you not just stop them before they stole Whaaat? Like the movie "Minority Report"? Grin Grin

BrownPaperTeddy · 30/09/2018 13:05

Thank you to the police officers here..

This in bucket loads. Thank you to all police officers who spend their days running towards a situation that the rest of us are running away from.

Most of us are grateful and appreciate what you do.

Nicknacky · 30/09/2018 13:08

tilly A good proactive security guard should be preventing as much crime as they can. Prevention rather than cure!

this is why cops are always abusing their wives

Wtf?

Nicknacky · 30/09/2018 13:12

Oh ffs, now we are all domestic abusers. Do I abuse my husband or is it only male officers that do that?

tillytop · 30/09/2018 13:13

True Nick but I wasn't a security guard. Prevention wasn't my job.

RudeZebra · 30/09/2018 13:13

this is why cops are always abusing their wives

Do you have any link to this?

What about a link to the gang rape and arson?

Nicknacky · 30/09/2018 13:13

And do the idiots on here not realise that operational uniforned officers don't investigate child sexual offences? So no investigations were being neglected while they were in Tesco.

Nicknacky · 30/09/2018 13:14

tilly Sorry store detective then. Isn't that what you said pages ago?

RudeZebra · 30/09/2018 13:16

Whaaat? Like the movie "Minority Report"? grin grin

Nope. Like being aware of who the shoplifters are and refusing them entry. Or watching them place an item in a foil lined bag, retrieving the item and telling them to fuck off? Not hard is it.

You get to completely avoid the "useless lumps" then.

Nicknacky · 30/09/2018 13:18

You don't have a clue why he was there. You are guessing as to what was going on.

tillytop · 30/09/2018 13:18

I knew two friends who were abused by their cop husbands. Another friend worked in a police station escorting women to the cells. She was constantly ridiculed and bullied by the male officers. Sad state of affairs.

Nicknacky · 30/09/2018 13:20

Two officers? Oh well then, you are are right and we are all domestic abusers.

tazzle22 · 30/09/2018 13:22

You are playing a game 2trouble ...you know exactly what you are doing and being deliberately obtuse. You are doing what the man in the video is doing... goading everyone for your own ourpose.

My I respectfully suggest we all ignore any other posts from 2trouble as it's not a meaningful discussion.
