Obviously don’t know the full facts, but the photos
Show the police being pretty heavy handed.

They look Muslim, so presume don’t drink alcohol, they have regularly buy the water from other branches of Tesco.
This behaviour by the police looks like the sort of treatment meted out by racist officers towards African Americans in the US.

I am disgusted by the thuggish behaviour of the police and I hope Mr. Hussain succeeds in his complaint to the PCC.

He was asked repeatedly to leave. How long should the officer stand there and try and talk him nicely into leaving?

DontMakeMeShushYou · 27/09/2018 22:54

IT'S FLAVOURED WATER AND PEOPLE CAN DRINK IT IF THEY WANT TO!

Blimey! If that was in response to my post, I really hit a nerve. Calm down dear!

tillytop · 27/09/2018 22:54

Bloody hell user145 you must have felt awful! You should make a complaint about that supervisor.

SoupDragon · 27/09/2018 22:54

The man could have been escorted nicely out the shop

How? Given he refused and his wife reside to comply with a request to stop filming. They were hardly cooperative right for the start!

Puzzledandpissedoff · 27/09/2018 22:55

I believe you, Nicknacky ... after all you do the job and I don't Smile

What I really don't get, though, is the apparent need to throw such a strop over a load of water. Even if a different store sold unlimited bottles - which we only have his word for - so what? Just buy the blasted stuff somewhere else

Nicknacky · 27/09/2018 22:56

puzzled I was totally agreeing with you in case that wasn't clear! X

tillytop · 27/09/2018 22:59

when you have a struggling suspect Suspect for what? Being a bit mouthy and buying too much water? God, the police nowadays. If he'd been a suspected paedophile, he'd have been left well alone!

SunsetOnTheHorizon · 27/09/2018 23:00

Totally agree with you Puzzle. But the crux of the matter is he didn't budge. He wanted to know why the policy was different. No harm in questioning right? See how he refers to google to check whether he can be filmed or not...

Cue knackered police officer who is looking forward to a cuppa in his sliplers. Instead of taking control and appearing professional.... oh no... let's drag this fucker out of here and get to that cuppa asap! Fucking hell man!

Nicknacky · 27/09/2018 23:01

tilly that's a ridiculous thing to say.

And by that point he was being arrested and had nothing to do with water. The cops don't care about that!

SunsetOnTheHorizon · 27/09/2018 23:03

@tily Oh no. A suspected pedophile will be gently stroked and spoken to in a soft voice. In case they upset him/her. Those are ppl that need dragging into cells and off of our streets!!! Grrr

Nicknacky · 27/09/2018 23:03

sunset the cop won't have got his cup of tea, or dinner for that matter. The last thing you want when you walk into Tesco is to end up in a rammy. You just want a microwave lasagne and ten mins peace to eat it.

Nicknacky · 27/09/2018 23:04

Pointless. Absolutely pointless trying to talk to posters like these two.

SoupDragon · 27/09/2018 23:05

Instead of taking control and appearing professional.... oh no... let's drag this fucker out of here and get to that cuppa asap! Fucking hell man!

Did you watch a different video to me?

SoupDragon · 27/09/2018 23:06

You did notice the huge gap between the policeman trying to talk to the wife and the man clearly having kicked off and needing restraining....? You know, the bit the couple decided not to share.

MicroManaged · 27/09/2018 23:06

The bloke was an arrogant tosspot and she was screeching ‘stop punching me’ when he was clearly doing nothing of the sort.

Wankers, I hope they both get done for something.

SunsetOnTheHorizon · 27/09/2018 23:07

@nicky wrong place wrong time for the dopey cop I say. Here you have a outspoken customer who wants to question refusal of his potential purchase and the cop that attends the situation is dreaming about his dinner! 'Aint nobody got time for this'

WelcomeToShootingStars · 27/09/2018 23:08

Again. I was there. The couple were entirely at fault from start to end. The police officer reacted to a physical threat by restraining the guy.

Nicknacky · 27/09/2018 23:09

welcome nooo that can't be right. According to posters he should have tickled them into leaving the store!?

SunsetOnTheHorizon · 27/09/2018 23:10

@welcome pah! Do we need anymore footage?!
Tesco has cameras. Let's see how this concludes once the IPCC is involved. I hope to God they escalate this shit.

RudeZebra · 27/09/2018 23:11

The cops pushing, swinging punches and man handling the couple were committing common physical assault. They are trained to diffuse, and use restraint techniques. They didn't do their jobs correctly.

And your experience of restraining an adult male who doesn't want to be restrained is what exactly? Since you're clearly an expert, I'm sure you're well versed in common law, S3 CLA, and S117 PACE. How is it "common physical assault?"

Suspect for what? Being a bit mouthy and buying too much water? God, the police nowadays. If he'd been a suspected paedophile, he'd have been left well alone!

Ah the mark of the true hard of thinking. All those in prison on child sex offences just knocked on the door of the prison and just handed themselves in. Hmm

Next time for full bonus points, talk about police only picking on motorists for the full "I don't have a clue what I'm talking about" effect

WelcomeToShootingStars · 27/09/2018 23:11

The police officer didn't "attend" anything. He was called over when he just happened to be popping in for his dinner.

tillytop · 27/09/2018 23:12

needing restraining a swipe at the head? Can't he go swipe some paedophile or rapist's head instead? Police are useless, untrained lumps nowadays! It's an embarrassment.

WelcomeToShootingStars · 27/09/2018 23:13

He didn't swipe at his head.

Nicknacky · 27/09/2018 23:13

tilly He was in the supermarket for his dinner. Don't think there was any rapists there that we know about.

SunsetOnTheHorizon · 27/09/2018 23:14

Police men and women are not perfect. They make mistakes too! They can be judgemental, they can stereotype and they can be hasty. There are good decent cops out there. The ones that aren't as good need picking like scabs and flicked to the gutter. ( Perhaps train them first if the budget allows)
