OH works out of town and has somehow become the company driver! New person started and told the boss that he has a bad back so can't get to work unless someone takes him(let's call new person Bob ).
My OH Lives in the same town so was roped into doing it everyday. He didn't mind at first till Bob admitted lying about bad back cos he didn't want to get the bus or train. He doesn't offer any money and just sits in the car on his phone or moans that the journey takes ages.
Now two more people have started and OH is having to drive them too. He's getting fed up of it and I get he's going that way anyway but no one has offered any money (even a little) . Surely 3 extra adults in the car would create more wear and tear.
OH spoke to his boss and said he's really not happy driving everyone and his boss told him that Bob said he would quit if he can't get a lift so OH needs to drive him. WTF!!!!?
I know it's not my problem but he's always moaning to me about it. I'm just amazed by Bob's entitlement (and also that the boss is feeding into it)

Sorry to rehash my old post but F* BOB! So dh manged to get out of driving him just by accidently pissing him off. Bob didn't tell him he wasn't coming, just didn't turn up and at work didn't talk to him. This went on for most of last week. Today DH just got a message saying "what's the deal with the lift tomorrow?" so didnt even politely ask if him could take him again. WTF!! dh is not going to reply.

How did he piss him off? How did he get to work last week?

aaaaargghhhhelpme · 28/10/2018 19:17

Leave for work ten minutes earlier so bob gets to wait around at yours for no reason.

Bob sounds a total arse. Sorry nothing constructive to add. How did the numpty get to work last week?!

MRSMARMITE3 · 28/10/2018 19:24

He got the train!! So he can do that, he's just a lazy arse!!

You do realise bob the knob will turn up at yours tomorrow? Be prepared to tell him to do one.

Stressedout10 · 28/10/2018 19:51

Tell him to jog on

MRSMARMITE3 · 28/10/2018 20:25

Apparently he's hurt his leg so might need a lift tomorrow. No please or anything! Now DH feels that he has to take him

OP posts:
RandomMess · 28/10/2018 20:26

Tell DH to stand firm, it's probably a lie like the bad back!!!

abbsisspartacus · 28/10/2018 20:29

Tell dh to take a personal day due to illness cheekyfuckeritis totally allergic to cheeky fuckers

HettySunshine · 28/10/2018 20:31

You mean Bob that lied about his bad back? Almost definitely lying about his sore leg.

Your husband should text back saying 'yup, £10 each way.'

prettygreywalls · 28/10/2018 20:43

Put something bulky in black sacks ( anything light & bulky ) put it in the car and say sorry the car is full of things this week - you do not need to elaborate more than that

Tistheseason17 · 28/10/2018 20:43

Your DH needs to leave for work earlier than usual tomorrow.

If Bob can get to yours on the bus he can get is CF arse to work by himself.

Your DH does NOT have to do this.

prettygreywalls · 28/10/2018 20:45

Or as someone else has posted get husband to leave 10- 20 mins early , avoid bob and husband can go get a coffee on the way

ohfourfoxache · 28/10/2018 20:48

That’ll be a big fat NO then.....

Seriously, he needs to not reply and not give him a lift. Ever again.

Gemini69 · 28/10/2018 20:56

this is beyond ridiculous OP.. Hmm

in the nicest possible way... your DH needs to grow a pair Flowers

RPC28 · 28/10/2018 21:02

You oh needs to ask them to split the petrol money or take it in turns.

EK36 · 28/10/2018 21:03

Tell your husband not to allow himself to be used. How dare Bob speak to him that way like its his right to a lift in his car ?! Your husband should leave earlier tomorrow morning. Do not give a lift. If he asks him about it he should say, "I'm not giving lifts anymore " and leave it at that.

FabulouslyGlamorousFerret · 28/10/2018 21:05

Bob sounds a twat and your husband is being really mugged off here 👎🏻

IAmGrootGrootGroot · 28/10/2018 21:08

Your husband sounds like an absolute doormat.

greendale17 · 28/10/2018 21:09

Sorry to say this but your DH is an idiot for letting this get this far.

Ignoramusgiganticus · 28/10/2018 21:20

No no no.

Username12345 · 28/10/2018 21:31

And you're attracted to this piece of wet lettuce? Ugh.

BollocksToBrexit · 28/10/2018 21:37

Not a cat in hell's chance Bob would be getting in my car again.

IAmBeyonceAlways · 28/10/2018 21:43

what greendale17 said

1MillionSelfiesTakenByMyKids · 29/10/2018 00:00

"Bugger off Bob" is a complete sentence.

Seriously - who would ever text their manager that?!
