Parents doing all this in after swim class showers?

OK,today after ds swim class the showers were crammed. As usual. Tbh I usually wait til we get home and do a proper shower/ bath. however today I thought I'd quickly shower him to save me doing it later. There were children in there with parents stood outside loaded with shampoos...conditioners ( telling them to leave it on at least 2minutes) body washes...rinsing and generally taking their time despite huge queues of dripping children and parents waiting for their turn..

Yes I get where OP is coming from same at our pool.
It's the attitude of some parents knowing everyone would like to use the showers but still faffing around taking ages.
Always the same faces using the tiny lift there when disabled and people with prams need it first. ( no its not an invisible disability they have either)
I've given up showering kids there as the battle is not worth it. The regulars are armed with bales of towels and toiletries waiting to grab their child and run to the showers before everyone . They also reserve their cubicles dumping stuff in there which we're told not to do. I have a choice between wanting to watch my child on their lesson from the viewing area then a long way down to changing rooms or missing it to reserve a shower / cubicle first.
Just respect others and use your common sense!

I'm pretty sure I've been swimming over the years with or without kids and not always showered afterwards Shock. The chlorine did not kill me.

at our pool you come out hairier than you were before of course we take a shower after.

many british pools are disgusting, not enforcing a shower before and not making sure long hair is tied back or under a cap.

redsummershoes · 19/10/2018 07:39

but I agree with the faffing - 2in1 shampoos are perfect for a quick wash

Ugh this drives me bonkers. Quick rinse then shower properly at home where you CAN take 3 hours about it

TheSteakBakeOfAwesome · 19/10/2018 08:08

Does my frigging head in. What does my head in more is while they're faffing about doing their "take 987 bottles into the shower" routine... they've put their entire worldly goods all over the changing room to dibs them one so the rinse and go brigade can't even get ready as the changing rooms are all being hogged by people fannying about in the shower.

I hate swimming lesson morning with a passion!
