NC (name changed as I don't want this to be outing)

A rhythmless man at church has said he wants to put on a concert to raise some money for shoeless orphans. We shall call him A.

A said to B that they have money to help. B said that the last concert raised some issues but would support them none the less.

C said she didn't want to be forgotten.

Who is BU?

Please don’t delete this, it’s absolutely brilliant Grin

Villainelle · 12/10/2018 09:55

Waves to OPs DH 👋🏻**

Redglitter · 12/10/2018 09:57

Looks like the OP has had a few NC failures

Seems totally bizarre to bump up a thread that had died a death purely to ask to have it deleted Confused

Goatscheeseonmyknees · 12/10/2018 10:06

Hey there, redglitter I have indeed, name changed.
Last night we had a goat cheese salad and I spilt some (clumsy!)
Hence the name. I do like to change them every now and then. Or is it the norm to keep it the same?
You're right about the fail, though. It should read "one."

How else do you get MNHQ to respond to you, though?

ChateauRouge · 12/10/2018 10:42

You have to report your post, and put in the details, you can't really just type it on the thread- there are thousands a day. MNHQ would never see that.

Goatscheeseonmyknees · 12/10/2018 10:44

Thanks rouge I hadn't thought of it that way. I have been reporting but no response.

kviddics · 12/10/2018 11:00

Petition to have this gem of a thread moved to Classics.

BobLemon · 12/10/2018 11:16

Please please Classics!!

I’m crying... if your pelvic floor is a loose as your morals!!

But seriously - if the thread goes, how will we get info about tickets to the concert??

ExtremistParanoidBigot · 12/10/2018 11:27

I've never suggested a thread for Classics in the more than 12 years that I've been on MN. But this one really should be in there, it's got everything!

forumdonkey · 12/10/2018 12:25

I can't believe I missed this. What happened OP? Who's doing what? Are the drummers coming back or ribbon dancing lady? What about the solo tenna lady? Still so many answered questions. Why has nobody mentioned refreshment?

PanchoBarnes · 12/10/2018 13:55

I agree, I seriously think this really does need to go in Classics!
How many votes are needed for consideration?

I'm feeling antsy, I don't want this thread to be gone!

How to do so? Just click on 'Report', and beg?

picklemepopcorn · 12/10/2018 18:20

@Goatscheeseonmyknees, we use a music stand as a lectern. It could still be my Church if A and B do music and preach...

But it probably isn't!

newroundhere · 12/10/2018 20:21

Classics classics classics

SubtitlesOn · 12/10/2018 21:17

Please could somebody repost the diagram? GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Also MN HQ please don't delete this thread

MrsChristianTrevelyanGrey · 13/10/2018 08:44

@SubtitlesOn
If it works there's the diagram we got earlier in the thread

MrsChristianTrevelyanGrey · 13/10/2018 08:47

Well that failed Blush try again...

Your back op. When is the show? I keep turning up for rehearsals but no one else seems to show up. But I’m ready with a three hour version of here we go round the mulberry bush. In 19 languages currently.

HeronLanyon · 13/10/2018 10:50

I am intending to be shoeless in the audience in solidarity. Would a thick sock be insensitive ?

SubtitlesOn · 13/10/2018 11:13

Ooooh thank you Mrs Grey

FinnegansWhiskers · 13/10/2018 13:52

My dd sings. She's the type to demand a solo and not turn up for rehearsals! When did she start going to church is what I'd like to know! When C decides to turn up can you stick your toe up her backside and point her in the direction of home please OP? I've found several pissy smelling knickers down the side of her bed that need sorting NOW! I'm not touching them now that I have discovered she's been in the vicinity of that beaker! 😱

Goatscheeseonmyknees · 13/10/2018 14:52

Hello, I'm still here. Had a very busy couple of days (some friends persuaded me to join a Lindy bopping course with them, not sure it's for me yet as ankle still hurts.)

Feefeetrixabelle 19 languages! Fantastic! I have a hard enough job getting the choir to cope with two! (English and Latin)

picklemepopcorn A and B do not preach. Unfortunately you are reading the diagram incorrectly (I was worried it wouldn't be clear enough)
If you think of it this way, the chairs and the organ are in front of you. To the right of the organ is the Altar. The lectern and pulpit are on the opposite side to the chairs and to the left is the main body of the church where the congregation sit. I love that you use a music stand as your lectern. When the church was undergoing some building work and we had to use the hall, we used a cookbook stand :)

To a previous question, yes there will be refreshments in the interval. You know the saying, "the grass is always greener on neither side!"

Goatscheeseonmyknees · 13/10/2018 14:52

picklemepopcorn Sorry the diagram wasn't clear enough!

Feefeetrixabelle · 13/10/2018 22:04

Well I wasn’t sure where the shoeless orphans are from so I google top 20 shoeless orphan countries and learnt all the languages. Just working on number 20 now

Goatscheeseonmyknees · 13/10/2018 22:11

The shoes are going to CAFOD, fee. I don't think you can Google what you're talking about.

Feefeetrixabelle · 14/10/2018 09:09

Totally can, try it op.
