NC (name changed as I don't want this to be outing)

A rhythmless man at church has said he wants to put on a concert to raise some money for shoeless orphans. We shall call him A.

A said to B that they have money to help. B said that the last concert raised some issues but would support them none the less.

C said she didn't want to be forgotten.

Who is BU?

It’s a riddle

January2015 · 29/08/2018 08:03

@jillian ... I think you have got to the bottom of it.

Magicmonster · 29/08/2018 08:11

So sorry OP. As I mentioned, I was super tired last night and for some reason was struggling to follow the thread. In the cold light of day it does of course make perfect sense. I would say YADNBU. I would cancel the concert before it goes the same way as last year’s. The orphans won’t need shoes anyway if you just pray to your god for a mild winter.

I found this video of A B and C having a practice. I can understand your reservations Op , they don't all seem to be singing the same hymn . At least the title of the hymn is in keeping with your cause.

Magicmonster · 29/08/2018 08:26

Wow, Oddcat. That definitely explains the lack of donations doesn’t it!

Oddcat · 29/08/2018 08:28

At least we can now see what the Op is up against . Is that C in the white hat ?

Bluebell36 · 29/08/2018 08:32

I think C should read the Lundy Bancroft book and do the Freedom Program- that should help her

nowayishere · 29/08/2018 08:35

@Odd and @magic. Please stop responding with your unhelpful replies.

We actually have a council meeting tonight (I thought it was tomorrow but forgot about the bank holiday and it is, indeed, Wednesday today.)

Magicmonster · 29/08/2018 08:48

What? I’m not allowed to join in anymore? I guess at least I know how C feels now!

Oddcat · 29/08/2018 08:52

I only wanted to help the orphans

CanYouHearThat · 29/08/2018 09:37

magic and odd maybe we should form a splinter group and have our own concert, i've still got a bottle of something i was given that i'm happy to donate for a raffle prize, (op didn't take me up on the offer and now i've withdrawn it from her rhythmless shitshow).

sonicdoom · 29/08/2018 09:49

Good luck with the council meeting OP. Hope you get to the bottom of this.

I have been in your situation and came out the other side of it. I recall how excruciatingly frustrating it was at the time, especially when C in my situation just wouldn't listen!! C sure could play the tambourine though!

Best of luck Thanks

IhatetheArchers · 29/08/2018 10:27

Pinkgirl, I think your comment by about pole dancing around the massive organ was unhelpful am nd you should apologise to the op. Besides it is obvious it was a lap dance.

Namechangeforthiscancershit · 29/08/2018 10:34

Installing a pole in a church would be ridiculous. The ceilings are far too high.

sidesplittinglol · 29/08/2018 10:51

I think there's a screw loose somewhere....

We should ask H and J they may know about the bats

Namechangeforthiscancershit · 29/08/2018 10:52

J isn’t allowed near the bats any more after unfortunate incident last Easter

RolyRocks · 29/08/2018 10:59

I got rhythm, I got music, I got my man
Who could ask for anything more

sonicdoom · 29/08/2018 11:08

J isn’t allowed near the bats any more after unfortunate incident last Easter

😂😂😂😂😂🤣

Namechangeforthiscancershit · 29/08/2018 11:15

sonic I can assure you the bats did not find it amusing at all. It was unsavoury to say the least.

sonicdoom · 29/08/2018 11:18

Grin Namechange

SubtitlesOn · 29/08/2018 11:25

Oh crumbs I think my MIL goes to your church

She was telling me the same story yesterday teatime

sidesplittinglol · 29/08/2018 11:38

Namechange what was this unfortunate incident?

SpiderCid · 29/08/2018 11:45

This is why I no longer go to church, far too much drama.

Has anyone managed to get to the bottom of what the f**k the OPs talking about?

A - Wants to throw charity concert.
B - Brings up issues with previous concert (noise) but is happy to help.
C - Is worried they will be forgotten but also wants to help.
Who's being unreasonable? - From the very little information given, no one is being unreasonable.

And if the OP is none of the above people then why does it matter what A,B and C do?

OP you might be getting annoyed about people taking the piss but what do you expect when your question is nonsensical

PhilomenaButterfly · 29/08/2018 11:47

Spider please don't take it so seriously! 😂

Oddcat · 29/08/2018 11:47

I think it's crystal clear Spider
