Why?

OP posts:
cardibach · 25/08/2018 20:09

No idea why women wear them. Uncomfortable and so bad for you
You what now Sleight ?
Bad for you how?
Surely the seams in trousers would be more uncomfortable than cotton pants?

cardibach · 25/08/2018 20:10

Mey you might feel differently on the pavement In your birthday suit freezing your arse off and showing all to the neighbours!

happymummy12345 · 25/08/2018 20:11

I never sleep in anything as I hate it. Only exception is during my pill free week when I have my withdrawal bleed. Then I wear a tampon and a pair of knickers, but even that drives me mad and makes me feel uncomfortable.

LeonietheLion · 25/08/2018 20:12

If you wear pants in bed are they clean ones just for bed or are they the ones you have worn all day? Shock and do you have 2 pairs on each day? clean ones morning and for bed? I shower in the morning and have a bath or shower each evening before bed so my body is perfectly clean without pants.

It seems that at least (as I imagine the 31% includes underwear only and nothing at all) 67% of us are not ‘airing’. And, as always, some people just don’t know what they’re doing. Grin

I started wearing pants in bed after a bout of threadworms (age 12)
I've worn them ever since.
Don't get the airing comments at all.

Sta1989 · 25/08/2018 20:16

I usually wear knickers to bed under my pyjamas as I find it protects my clothes and sheets. Obviously I am being paranoid about wetness rubbing off onto my sheets or pjs. Thats the way I’ve always done it but now that I think about it I don’t understand why lol. I suppose it’s just what we are used to

TheSultanofPingu · 25/08/2018 20:18

Leoniethelion I wear clean pants to bed yes. So two pairs of pants a day.

MadMum101 · 25/08/2018 20:19

I wear a pair in the day, then another clean pair at night.

Hope all of you knicker less sleepers wash your bum before you get into bed. Imagine lying in old bum germs night after night. Envy

I get along with our neighbours. They would lend me something if I was cold.

Any anyhow, I'm a bit overcautious. There are clothes, a tent and a few other things in our garden shed. Blush

If our garden shed was also on fire... Well, that would be a massive fire. Our neighbours' houses are closer to our house than the shed...

MeyMary · 25/08/2018 20:21

I'm not particularly concerned about showing my neighbours...

QuarterMileAtATime · 25/08/2018 20:22

For me, clean comfy cotton pants just for bed. Nothing else. Even in the coldest of winters, if I go to bed with anything else on, I’m awake with an hour taking it off.
I really don’t care what anyone else does though... whatever makes you most comfortable.

bananafish81 · 25/08/2018 20:23

Always sleep in pants

Under pyjamas when cooler (and don't have to change PJ bottoms every day, clean knicks daily)

And just pants and a t-shirt when it's warmer

Can't bear sleeping without pants on!

bananafish81 · 25/08/2018 20:25

As for airing out my bits, how are they getting any more air under a duvet anyway? Mine doesn't need scuba equipment - I've never once had a yeast infection, and having had a consultant gynae down there several times a week for months on end during fertility treatment, he didn't observe any ill effects from my pants wearing!

AvaLove · 25/08/2018 20:25

Ummm....I just feel 'exposed' without them! No real reason behind this, I just do...

OpiningGambit · 25/08/2018 20:25

If I don't wear pants my pubes get a tangled!

WilburIsSomePig · 25/08/2018 20:26

Weird question.

happypoobum · 25/08/2018 20:26

Always because I have no desire to inadvertently flash the kids

Exactly!!!!!

trinity0097 · 25/08/2018 20:29

I have no warning I might start my period, so I never am without pants and a liner unless in the shower!

MiddleClassProblem · 25/08/2018 20:32

Genuine parenting question coming up:

When kids came out of nappies at night did you just put pjs on them or pants too?

I can’t ever recall wearing pants but I’m not sure if you’re “meant to” or not.

Menolly · 25/08/2018 20:37

surely it's important to wear SOMETHING in bed in case you need to exit the house quickly e.g. a fire!

I have a nightdress hanging on the end of the bed in case I need to get up in the night which I could grab while leaving.

Flucker · 25/08/2018 20:40

As fart mufflers, obvs! 😂

pippop1317 · 25/08/2018 20:43

I've always worn pant and a long t-shirt to bed. My dh sleeps in the buff, I'm not gonna lie the thought of his bare ass on my white sheets really annoys pisses me off.

FrangipaniBlue · 25/08/2018 20:44

What happens if you don't air it?

It crusts over obviously Wink

LuluJakey1 · 25/08/2018 20:44

I would sooner die than wear pants in bed
