Why?

OP posts:
Hideandgo · 25/08/2018 19:30

Christ some people have very fixed ideas about such unimportant things.

Sparklingbrook · 25/08/2018 19:31

Does anyone really care what anyone else wears to bed?

ifoundthebread · 25/08/2018 19:31

Just more comfortable and if I need to tend to one of the kids during the night it's not so cold.

LeftRightCentre · 25/08/2018 19:32

Why do you give a fuck what others do?

Bluelady · 25/08/2018 19:32

See you went for it, Jenni!

onetimeposter · 25/08/2018 19:33

Ugh no pants in bed is rank
I honestly wouldnt be able to sleep without pants

Sparklingbrook · 25/08/2018 19:34

Is this a TAAT?

AsteroidAsterix · 25/08/2018 19:34

I grew being told to 'air It' at night. Really not as creepy as it sounds.
But now, I can't. I just can't. Big comfy pants and nothing else. If I fall asleep after 'relations' pantless I genuinely wake up soon after feeling really uncomfortable. I need the big pants.

stillnotTheDoctor · 25/08/2018 19:36

Always because I have no desire to inadvertently flash the kids 😂

QueenoftheNights · 25/08/2018 19:37

There are zillions of threads on MN that are beyond trivial or discussing things no one really gives a toss over, (in fact I'd say 99% of MN threads fall into the category) so not sure why so many posters are getting their knickers in a twist over this one.

FWIW I do not understand people who wear knickers in bed except for period time. I wear a nightie, and hate PJs for the same reason I hate knickers in bed. Knickers are for day time under clothes. it's as if they think their vulva is dirty and needs to be covered up.

diddl · 25/08/2018 19:37

I wonder how much "airing" happens under a duvet?

TheRealHousewifeofCheshire · 25/08/2018 19:37

Familiar with the penia beaker but whats the ref to centre parcs relate to

PanamaPattie · 25/08/2018 19:38

Poo crumbs obvs.

SophieSellerman · 25/08/2018 19:38

Ha! I started a thread about this some time ago, because I couldn't begin to imagine why anyone would wear pants in bed. It was a laugh a minute. Someone said it's to stop spiders crawling up her fanjo. Grin

I would sooner die than wear pants in bed. Tampon at period time. Never, ever pants.

NoFuckingRoomOnMyBroom · 25/08/2018 19:39

It never ceases to amaze me on MN how some people actually think their opinion on what others wear full stop actually fucking matters... Hmm
Knickers or no knickers, really-who gives a flying fuck?

SophieSellerman · 25/08/2018 19:40

Can't be doing with pyjamas, either. Let the air get to it, is what I say. A nice nightie (or one of DP's shirts) does the trick.

Sparklingbrook · 25/08/2018 19:40

I would sooner die than wear pants in bed

Bit dramatic.

SeptimusQuench · 25/08/2018 19:40

nottalotta that sounds grim for you. Hope it’s sorted soon Flowers

Sparkling et al: it’s Mumsnet! Of course we care (and to be fair, this topic does crop up pretty regularly, and can be quite entertaining. We’ve already had someone turn up to say not wearing pants in bed is “rank” Shock)

stillnotTheDoctor · 25/08/2018 19:40

@TheRealHousewifeofCheshire not sure where the thread is but centre parcs is apparently for swingers and then became a euphemism for anal. 🤷🏻‍♀️

IHaveBrilloHair · 25/08/2018 19:41

What happens if you don't air it?

SophieSellerman · 25/08/2018 19:41

Of course it is dramatic, darling. I am an actress. @Sparklingbrook
And to all of those who are being all po-faced: obviously it doesn't matter, but it's just a bit of F.U.N.

Sparklingbrook · 25/08/2018 19:41

True, this subject does seem to come up a lot on here weirdly. You can play MN Bingo. Grin

Growingboys · 25/08/2018 19:42

Poo crumbs obvs.

Please tell me you are joking PanamaPattie? We can all wipe our bottoms properly by now, can't we?

And to those getting cross about people caring about this, why did you come to Mumsnet, let alone click on this thread?

Eveforever · 25/08/2018 19:42

This thread made me google penis beaker, so thanks for that.

SophieSellerman · 25/08/2018 19:42

It will close up @IHaveBrilloHair How could you not know this?
