To keep a handbag I’ve found?

So on my walk this morning I found a Primark handbag in an alleyway. It’s clearly brand new but without tags. There’s nothing in it and it doesn’t look like it has been used at all.
It’s still there now, AIBU to take it? It’s really nice!

having had my handbag snatched with phone and purse etc never found although the culprit was caught and given 6 months (served 3) Lots of sentimental stuff lost ie texts from late father on phone. Take it to police station in case it is claimed, would have loved my bag back even if empty
