Already, I know.

OP posts:

There was a thread earlier about summer holidays next year and booking flights. Claire swooped in like the grim reaper to tell the OP not to bother getting excited as Brexit would likely mean no flights anywhere next year

I don't often agree with Clairetree, but actually she was perfectly correct about this one.

Heathrowrow are spending astronomical amounts of money to try to protect against Brexit, they wouldn’t be doing this unless there was a problem to be faced. Unfortunately it is worth considering holding of plans, or travelling by other means

I feel like the OP should be allowed to scrap this thread and start again.

Womaningreen

Completely agree.

What could have been a kind and helpful thread for the OP and others has very much been derailed.

Can you plan do something OP, like a long country walk, or do some DIY? keep you busy, put some music on, forget it's xmas? and then xmas eve and Boxing Day you can do stuff anyway in crowds like go to the shops/cinema etc. Unless you'd consider online dating? if you start now you could get coupled up by Christmas if that's what you want.
