I've had to chuck half of one away because it's quite possibly the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted! Anyone else? Or is it just me...

You are definitely not being unreasonable! To be fair I'm not a huge fan of most L McC stuff (except the pulled pork burgers and the mozzarella burgers)

The Quorn pies, however, are great.

Slimmingsnake · 19/08/2018 19:35

Well, they are not as good as home cooked...but there's no other vegan meaty pie on the market...so...I find cooking them longer at a lower temperature helps x

JLG19 · 19/08/2018 19:35

I've never tried the pies, but had the mozzerella burgers the other day Envy yuck. On that basis, I conclude YANBU Grin

smashyourglasses · 19/08/2018 19:36

I think they're really nice..

Kochicoo · 19/08/2018 19:39

YANBU. I tried a lentil mash and it was so disgusting I couldn't eat it.

BruceAndNosh · 19/08/2018 19:40

I've never understood why a vegan would want to eat fake meat

WooYa · 19/08/2018 19:41

They're disgusting but I do like the veggie sausages cold Grin

smashyourglasses · 19/08/2018 19:41

I'm not vegan, just think they're nice enough to eat both in one go..

noitsachicken · 19/08/2018 19:42

Pieminister have an amazing vegan pie!

FuzzyCustard · 19/08/2018 19:42

I really like the mozzarella burgers and the sausages. Most other veggie sausages are too heavy on the herbs and taste as though you are chomping on a sage plant.

SillyBub · 19/08/2018 19:42

There's not much in the way of food shoved in pastry and called a pie that I wouldn't devour, but Linda's pies? Envy

AnotherOriginalUsername · 19/08/2018 19:43

@BruceAndNosh quick, easy protein source?

I'm vegetarian rather than vegan and I eat "fake meat" for many reasons, predominantly because it doesn't have any flesh in it!

OutPinked · 19/08/2018 19:43

YANBU. The sausages are the best meat free sausages on the market imo but that’s all they do that I enjoy.

bruce some vegans enjoyed meat but don’t agree with the ethics so these alternatives are great for them.

HelpmeobiMN · 19/08/2018 19:44

Never tried them, good to know! Her sausages are great though.

ALittleAubergine · 19/08/2018 19:46

I've tried the mozzarella burgers and the sausages. Both were awful. The burgers smelled delicious but tasted awful.

noitsachicken · 19/08/2018 19:46

www.pieminister.co.uk/pies/kevin/

I also have it on good authority that they are bringing out another vegan pie!

GhostofFrankGrimes · 19/08/2018 19:49

They were much nicer 20 years ago and came in packs of 4 then!

Jozxyqk · 19/08/2018 19:50

Unless they've changed the recipe in the last couple of years, YANBU. They were hideous when I last had them, OP. I like proper veggie food - vegetables, pulses, grains etc. Don't even get me started about the monstrosity that is quorn!

FuzzyCustard · 19/08/2018 20:00

I like quorn too. I like it better than lentils.

Graphista · 19/08/2018 20:01

I like em, but you do need to cook to instructions or they don't come out right.

My omni dd loves the sausages done in a casserole. As do I. Ooh night do that for dinner some day this week.

Fishcakey · 19/08/2018 20:01

Oh my god I love them!!!!

Lipsticktraces · 19/08/2018 20:04

YABU. I love a country pie!

Emilizz34 · 19/08/2018 20:06

The only things I like in that range are the vegetarian sausages and sausage rolls . The rest seem awful.

tinyradish · 19/08/2018 20:06

What? Are you all eating different LM pies? Which flavour are you referring to? We eat the regularly! They're lovely. Hmm

whiteroseredrose · 19/08/2018 20:19

I like most of the LMc range. Can't bring myself to swallow Quorn though.
