Sobbing over the death of a TV character

We are binge watching Boardwalk Empire. My favourite character died last night and I was in bits. It was beautifully done and a shocking end to the season.
I haven't felt this way since Thelma and Louise went over the canyon.

I'm feeling a rewatch of GoT coming on after all the mentions here. Remember Grenn in GoT? He's Jon's friend in The Nights Watch and when the wall is being attacked by Wildlings Jon orders Grenn to take some men and hold the gate against the giant, they do but all die. After Jon comes and looks at him and says "they held the gate..."

When the students die in Les Mis i sobbed in the cinema it was all so pointless I am see it onstage next year god knows how I'll cope!

I sobbed about Donna in Mamma Mia. In my defence I haven't long lost my own DM.

MrsJayy - I was a mess. It takes a lot for me to cry in the cinema or theatre (well anywhere in public really) but Les Mis always gets me, especially with Gavroche and Eponine.

For others, Poussey and Hold the Door as many others have said (with both I sat for a good half hour afterwards refusing to believe that was actually it).

And I don't think anyone has said this one but Fry's dog in Futurama.

MrsJayy - at least because you know the storyline you can partly prepare yourself in advance. Take plenty of tissues and I guarantee you won't be the only one needing them at those moments. And enjoy the rest of it, it's an amazing show.
