We are binge watching Boardwalk Empire. My favourite character died last night and I was in bits. It was beautifully done and a shocking end to the season.
I haven't felt this way since Thelma and Louise went over the canyon. Sad

OP posts:

Glen and Abraham on The Walking Dead! You knew someone was going but I was like “noooooo”!!!!! 😩

I cry at greys anatomy and downton abbey 😂

mikado1 · 10/08/2018 13:27

Mrs wotsit (clearly I'm now over the grief!) in the first series of the West Wing. She'd just bought her new (first?) car. So sad.

Also Daphne in Neighbours.

mikado1 · 10/08/2018 13:27

Bellingham! I think!

mikado1 · 10/08/2018 13:28

Oh the daughter, who'd turned into a zombie, in the Walking Dead. So upsetting when she came out of the barn.

mikado1 · 10/08/2018 13:33

Yes to Will in The Good Wife, it should have all come good!

April and Jackson's baby in GA. Bawled my eyes out.

jmscp2015 · 10/08/2018 13:39

Beth in the walking dead was the worst TWD death for me, when Maggie was walking up and Daryl was holding her. Sad

BrieAndChilli · 10/08/2018 13:39

I can not get through any episode of This is Us without crying! It’s not just about the death of Jack but about all the different issues that come up. A lot of them strike a chord with me.

I also cried at the end of The 100 season 5 finale this week.

I also can’t watch PS I love you without sobbingz

motherlondon · 10/08/2018 13:49

For the Aussies over 40, Molly dying on a Country Practice! Poor Brendan,

OP, I know who you're talking about and even though I saw it a few years ago, I still think about it and why it couldn't have ended better.

HibernoCaledonian · 10/08/2018 13:54

motherlondon Oi, I'm Irish and under 40 and that gets to me.

Hooli · 10/08/2018 14:17

Denny Duqette in Greys. I was inconsolable. And Izzy would have saved him if she hadn't changed her dress - waahhhh

PopeyeandOliveOil · 10/08/2018 14:20

Omg captain, had forgotten about Geoff 😭😭

Labmum · 10/08/2018 14:32

I was blubbing at the final ep of Thirteen reasons why season 2 last night! The bit on the dance floor where all Clay and Hannah's song plays and all his friends come and hug him........

SoupDragon · 10/08/2018 14:36

End of Blackadder. I can't even think of it without getting tearful

Yes! For me it’s because it actually happened. Maybe not that exact sequence but the general premise. After all the comedy and fun of the series they ended with that. Brilliantly done I thought.

Shakil’s death in Eastenders got me as I have sons that age and live inCroydon where knives are rife.

MakeLemonade · 10/08/2018 14:43

All the Grey’s Anatomy ones have got me- DH does not understand why I watch something that makes me cry so much!

flapjackfairy · 10/08/2018 14:46

Molly on a country practice. Oh yes still sad now ! That bit when she was telling her little girl that she would be at the other end of the rainbow.
And I can't make it through the end of the lord of the rings when frodo goes even though he doesn't even die
I wept for hours. Never watched the v end again. Have to switch off at the coronation happy bit ( though arigorn and arwyns kiss makes me feel a bit yuk even though I fancy him like mad. Slightly ruins it for me )

Hooli · 10/08/2018 14:47

Xmasfairy86

I'm rewatching Dawson's Creek and am dreading the end

Whatthefunk · 10/08/2018 14:48

Can't remember which season it's in, but in TWD, when Carol has to shoot the little girl, in the garden....

Cupcakecafe · 10/08/2018 14:49

Jack Duckworth in corrie. He just reminded me of my grandad, and when Vera came to dance with him, omg I just sobbed. I'm tearing up now thinking about it!
And Hayley in corrie too, although that might've been more to do with the fact that my dad had cancer at the time and it just felt far too real.

Rachelweasel · 10/08/2018 14:53

I'm always a wreck anytime a favourite character dies, it's like I knew them lol. End of season 4 of OITNB, I just can't.

DoubleNegativePanda · 10/08/2018 15:19

Mark Green wrecked me. I can never hear Good Riddance by Green Day without feeling sad now.

Just recently been binging Criminal Minds with dd and the death of Haley had me properly sobbing. DD was a bit "mom, it's ok. she's not really dead. she's an actor" but I couldn't help myself. It was traumatic.

Blondephantom · 10/08/2018 15:25

I’m a crier. Cried at lots of deaths during the Harry Potter series - books and films. Cried at loads that people have mentioned and nearly cried again at remembering them.

So just going to add one. Arthur Digby in Holby.
