Can I ask, which famous person do you get told you look like?

Some friends were over at the weekend. Their kids love Mrs Doubtfire and had watched it again recently. They told me how much I look like the mum character in the film, Sally Field . My son-in-law then piped up and said "Yeah I thought that too when I first met you". I can't see it myself but it could have been worse (thank the lord they didn't think I look like Robin Williams in drag!).

Can I ask who you get told you look like and whether you're happy with the comparison?

I get loads of different people, who don’t even look like each other... Liv Tyler, Nigella Lawson, and Elizabeth Taylor. Sometimes people say I look exotic and other times I get told I am a classic English Rose. I find it strange that people, particularly strangers, feel like they need to tell me!

I used to get Cheryl Cole a lot but the only similar feature we shared was hair colour and style.

This was confirmed when I went blonde and didn’t hear the comparison ever again.

I now get ‘Scarlett Johansson’s less attractive sister’.

When I get out of the shower I do my hair like hers and dh always calls me Aileen out of that film

Depending on my hair and beard situation I get told I look like Viggo Mortensen, Daniel Day Lewis or Jon Hamm. I can see these a tiny bit but obviously they're all a lot better looking than I am actually.

Wow! Some of you must be absolutely gorgeous. I got the much less glamorous Eva Price (barmaid from Corrie several years ago).

Fifteen/twenty years ago: Mary Pierce and also Meryl Streep. Very happy with both of those but I don’t think I look like them any more!

I used to get Shirley Temple when I was tiny, Annie (from the film Annie) when I was a bit bigger, Kylie when she was in Neighbours.
I have curly hair. That's pretty much where it ends.

When The Dark Knight Rises came out I got people messaging me on Twitter/Facebook/texting after they'd seen it to say I was the spit of Marion Cotillard. I was, obviously, delighted (and they are all blind - unless she's eaten a few pies and got about 6 inches shorter and I didn't know).
