Can I ask, which famous person do you get told you look like?

Some friends were over at the weekend. Their kids love Mrs Doubtfire and had watched it again recently. They told me how much I look like the mum character in the film, Sally Field . My son-in-law then piped up and said "Yeah I thought that too when I first met you". I can't see it myself but it could have been worse (thank the lord they didn't think I look like Robin Williams in drag!).

Can I ask who you get told you look like and whether you're happy with the comparison?

I often get told that I look like Drew Barrymore, Kate Winslet and Sophie Dahl, which is a type, I suppose? It'd be churlish of me to be unhappy about it though! :)

My husband looks exactly like example. We've even been into clubs and had free drinks because of it

I once got mistaken for Rosamund Pike, which was nice.

I was once told I looked like Julie Christie. I don't think I do but it made me very happy!

Since I was a child I've been told I look like kylie minogue. My hubby gets told he looks like Mark Wright. I think it hilarious and we don't look anything like those people! 😂

I was mistaken for Katherine Ryan a few months ago. At the checkout in an M&S the employee serving me apologised for being nervous and asked me if I know who Katherine is - explaining that he's a big fan of hers and had thought I was her when he saw me walking around.

Although a massive compliment, all it did was make me self-conscious of talking because she has an incredible smile and I have awful teeth (I have braces currently).

I wish I had her wardrobe, money, makeup skills and life in general!

As a teenager I was told I looked like Candice from Corrie (when Nikki Sanderson would have also been about 16/17 and brunette).

As an adult, I've been told I look like Kirstie Allsop (although I tend to think I look more like the lady on the Aunt Bessie logo from c2010 to last year).

Quite a nice recent surprise though, was being told by a new student that I looked like Summer from Power Rangers. I'll take the loss of over a decade and several stone!

I think it's the really flat hair, filthy sense of humour and perpetual look of slight alarm that does it.

I get Zooey Deschanel or Kate Middleton. I don’t look like either of them at all and they don’t look alike.
