Can I ask, which famous person do you get told you look like?

Some friends were over at the weekend. Their kids love Mrs Doubtfire and had watched it again recently. They told me how much I look like the mum character in the film, Sally Field . My son-in-law then piped up and said "Yeah I thought that too when I first met you". I can't see it myself but it could have been worse (thank the lord they didn't think I look like Robin Williams in drag!).

Can I ask who you get told you look like and whether you're happy with the comparison?

Caroline Quentin and Carol Vorderman (in the days before she lost weight and glammed up)

My looks have changed dramatically over time, from weight loss/gain, change of style, time of year, age etc. I've had;

Michael Jackson in the video for Bad Blush think this is probably the most accurate actually 😂😂

'a darker skinned' Jennifer Saunders as Eddie in absolutely fabulous Grin Blush

Also Eddie's daughter Saffy (actors name escapes me!)

Rita Ora ?? I think the person was pissed. I had to look her up, had no idea who she was Grin

Wondering if I look like LeighaJ now, because it's an unusual one.

Others I've had are Victoria Beckham and Charlotte Riley, though I don't think there's much resemblance.

I've been getting VB for years and interestingly my DD does look very like Harper (born within days of each other). Can't say DH looks at all like DB though, beyond colouring.

Michael Palin made me laugh.

I have a female friend who really reminds me of Mickey Flanagan. I have chosen not to share this with her.

I'm often told I look like kirsty allsop.

Brownhairbrowneyes · 11/08/2018 01:03

Megan markle in fact I was head hunted as a lookalike

MissLadyM · 11/08/2018 01:07

Young 80s Madonna. I've looked like her since I was 14. Even she doesn't look like Madonna now but I do!

I am always wary of telling people they look like someone, in case they don't like the way that person looks.

I have a friend who looks like Claire Foy. And I remember meeting someone who was the spit of a young Miranda Richardson - I think she is beautiful, but you just never know how people might receive the comment!

Drew Barrymore when I was much younger (and thinner). 9/10 years ago I grew my hair out of a bob because Peter Kaye's Geraldine McQueen character was too spot on...then a few years later the kids at school were quick to point out how I was apparently Gemma Collins.
These days, having dyed my hair dark, a few stones dropped and with less time to straighten said hair, comments liken me to Kirsty Allsopp. I like her dresses and all of the ladies named have a touch of glamour about them!!!

CrumbsInBed · 11/08/2018 08:21

Many, ahem, years ago (in the 80’s) I was told I looked like Natalie Wood.

I think it was more to do with having the same hair and eye colour though.

My hair is silver/blonde now, so that connection went years ago....

CrumbsInBed · 11/08/2018 08:23

*so that connection has gone now, I meant.

I’m trying to grow my bob out now, as somebody mentioned Velma (Thelma?) from Scooby Doo.

Thanks...

Michelle Pfeiffer, which I always really liked, but I don’t think I have aged as well as her.

nonnatushouse · 11/08/2018 08:44

Oh yeah and Olive from On the Buses
