Can I ask, which famous person do you get told you look like?

Some friends were over at the weekend. Their kids love Mrs Doubtfire and had watched it again recently. They told me how much I look like the mum character in the film, Sally Field . My son-in-law then piped up and said "Yeah I thought that too when I first met you". I can't see it myself but it could have been worse (thank the lord they didn't think I look like Robin Williams in drag!).

Can I ask who you get told you look like and whether you're happy with the comparison?

Fearne Cotton, just a shorter, fatter version. (No ones said that I just think it when they say it, lol.) it sort of makes sense to me because I think my mum looks like fearne cotton sometimes!

I've had Audrey Hepburn a few times. Even showed DS a pic of her when he was little and asked who it was - he said mama! Also Winona Ryder when I had cropped hair.

Oh oh oh! I was likened to Audrey Hepburn a couple of years ago!

I was really really quite chuffed at that one.

Mila Kunis. All the time too, I’d say at least monthly, someone will mention it.

I honestly can’t see it myself, other than the long dark hair, I can’t see anything we have in common. Of course I take it as a massive compliment as I think she’s beautiful, but I do think people are overly kind!

I get told I look like Stacey Slater from eastenders. I can see it but I am quite a bit older and fatter. When my husband had hair he looked like Rupert Penry Jones.

My Oh got told once he looked like Patrick Dempsey, and then literally three weeks later, he got told he looked like the baddy hair sniffer from Charlie’s Angels 😂😂

He’s got a hand one, heart shape face, lots of dark hair and quite a large, bent nose so somewhere in the middle of the two I think.

Ingrid Bergman. He may have been trying to get me into bed. I was 19 at the time. Some years later I found out that my Aunt was mistaken for her once so it could be true.
Recently I have been likened to Isabella Rossellini so maybe there is a resemlence.

When I was young people thought I was like Joanna Lumley at the same age, my mother thought I looked like Lady Sarah Armstrong-Jones (now Sarah Chatto, Princess Margaret’s daughter) and a few years ago a friend thought I looked a bit like Melinda Messenger! I’m nearly 54 now so it will be interesting to see if I get any other comparisons. People often think they have met me before, so maybe I do have a look of someone.

When I was younger, Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn - I think it had more to do with my frame and the way I dressed, tbh. (And also - as someone else said - I think all dark haired, skinny girls with largish noses get likened to AH.) More recently, Eva Green, and then I watched the James Bond movie and could sort of see it.

Obviously a poor man’s / slightly crap version of all of them. Like being the plain sister - there’s some sort of resemblance but the actual beauty’s missing.

And now I’m ancient and look like Wurzel Gummidge.

I have had Suzi Quattro a few times...I am 17 years younger...wear glasses...3 inches taller.. more dumpy not a ounce of musical ability...only similarity is thick wavy hair

Cate Blanchett. I have somewhat pointy features and perhaps similar cheekbones. I think that is why. Otherwise I’m two stones overweight and 5 ft 2 and absolutely nothing like her!
