I haven't read the article, it sounds too distressing.
As a vegan I can say without a hint of hypocrisy that this is absolutely vile. I'm surprised so many people are seemingly ok with eating dogs. I do believe it is terrible to eat all animals though, particularly highly intelligent ones (dogs, pigs)
