Like brain surgery or astrophysics. You know the kind of thing that's easier than the absolute slog of princessing.

I think we all know what a princess of the blood is, we just weren't sure why this wedding would be so much more exciting because of it.

DesignStatement · 06/08/2018 00:03

In a joint interview, the pampered pair bemoaned criticism of their lifestyles and fashion choices, even though Princess Beatrice took eight holidays in 15 months and Princess Eugenie took 25 days off during the first 10 weeks of a new job Daily Mirror

They are just like their parents, taking everything from the taxpayer and giving nothing in return. They have no idea of what a proper job entails and no concept of having to live within a budget. They live in St James' palace at a well below market rate price.

I can't think of a single thing they do that makes them relevant, or justifies the colossal taxpayer funds that they attract to maintain their frivolous lifestyles.

Benandhollysmum · 06/08/2018 00:15

The tv show the Windsor’s have them both and their mother down to a tee.

longwayoff · 06/08/2018 06:29

Hmm. Does that mean that St Diana was not of the Blood Royal? I am feeling a little faint.

OP posts:
FirstOfHerName · 06/08/2018 06:47

Like the Queen Mum, Diana was technically a "commoner". Not sure what's so common about being a Lady, but there you have it!

UrsulaPandress · 06/08/2018 06:52

And means that Zara is a Princess of the Blood, title or no.

FlatPackFurnitureCompAnyone · 06/08/2018 07:06

Ursula no it doesn’t because she’s in the female line (through the Princess Royal).

You need a cock involved to be truly royal!

longwayoff · 06/08/2018 07:08

Surely this means our Royal Family is not as royal as we're persuaded it is? What with having its special bloodline diluted by all kinds of riff raff. If they'd stuck with the cousin-marrying and haemophilia they'd still be properly royal wouldn't they? Hurrah for undiluted bloodlines.

VanillaSugar · 06/08/2018 07:15

Thing is, there are lots of little rich girls with money like theirs who don't have to think about this social media circus.

Exactly. Some of them even court it!

LOL @FlatPackFurnitureCompAnyone

Alice Naylor Leyland used to be my neighbour. She walked passed my house so I banged on the window and shouted "Feck off orff my land!" She didn't get the joke.

Did you know that her husband's grandmother was the beneficiary (ie the illegitimate offspring allegedly before you sue me but it is in the book Black Diamonds (disclaimer)) of the last Earl Fitzwilliam whose predecessor had a fling with JFK's sister and whose own granddaughter is married to Jacob Rees Mogg??

That whole village was weird. I had to move away to preserve my sanity.

FirstOfHerName · 06/08/2018 07:17

It was WWI that put an end to the cousin-marrying for the most part. Most of the cousins tended to be German so no more sleeping with the enemy. Mind you, QEII and the DoE are cousins in 2-3 different ways!

UrsulaPandress · 06/08/2018 07:18

Whoops my mistake.

SamanthaBrique · 06/08/2018 07:21

You need a cock involved to be truly royal!

That's no way to speak about Bea and Euj's papa!

Tinycitrus · 06/08/2018 07:22

Is it time for someone to
Say ‘they are not even British, they are German,? Grin

Tinycitrus · 06/08/2018 07:25

What a gorgeous house that woman has. But I’ll bet she’s not happy (I’ll bet she’s bloody ecstatic)

longwayoff · 06/08/2018 07:25

Crikey. If you have to pay that amount of attention to your neighbour's ancestry then moving away from the village can only be a good thing. Go large. Move to town

VanillaSugar · 06/08/2018 07:29

You can't help it when it's rammed down your throat every time you step out of your door.

Yes I did. Life is so much better, thank you for your concern Wink

Laiste · 06/08/2018 08:23

There is something about all 4 of them, the girls and their parents, which seems to turn off even quite hardened royalists. (There is a couple of said royalists in my family).

I'm definitely not a hardened royalist by any means and for me the Yorks represent the essence of everything which makes me anti royal.

DieAntword · 06/08/2018 08:23

Got to page 5 of 9 so maybe the thread has moved on but I find it astonishing how so many people have strong opinions about the personality and motives of people - I’m assuming - none of them have ever met and have only observed through the lense of curated media narratives.

I’ve never met them so I wouldn’t dare form such a strong conviction one way or the other. But I’ll admit from where I’m standing being a princess sounds fun... not half as fun as being out of the limelight but exceptionally wealthy though. In the end it’s money not background that really makes the difference these days.

UrsulaPandress · 06/08/2018 08:27

I don't know. If I won £100m tomorrow I'd have the money but not the contacts.

DieAntword · 06/08/2018 08:38

Ok but it wouldn’t be too difficult to buy your children contacts. Maybe not as many as the royals have but that’s not the end of the world, you only really need a few. Actually you don’t even need a few if you have 100 million, just make a few investments, rest on your laurels and enjoy.

longwayoff · 06/08/2018 08:47

Ursula, with 100 mill. In your back pocket contacts would be lining up to meet u and help you out, you wouldnt need a bloodline or anything The royals LOVE a freebie. They used to LOVE Mr Al Fayed and permit him to squander zills of his cash sponsoring the polo, but, events . . .

OP posts:
Laiste · 06/08/2018 08:49

Interviews and photo shoots about wanting to be left alone. Bloody great celeb wedding. Wanting to be seen as 'working princesses'. Public whinging about bad press. Jesus.

To want to drift about being Princesses but having everyone say ''oh, how normal they are! Look at the wonderful beautiful normal blood princesses going to work''. Hmm

What bloody cloud cuckoo land are they in?! Really. It's like Marie Antoinette and her 'farm'. Playing at being a milk maid with golden buckets and thinking the commoners should love her.

PitchBlackNight · 06/08/2018 08:49

Not read all the thread.

At least Eugenia and Beatrice must have worked hard at school and University. They both got good A levels and went on the get 2:1s at decent Unis. Which is a lot better than the B and D that Prince Harry got despite being educated at Eton. 😂 That's spectacularly bad for someone with his privileges. To be fair his parents aren't/weren't too bright either.

If I were Eugenie or Beatrice I'd drop out of Royal life. I'd hate it.

All this "princess of the blood" talk. We all know it's nonsense don't we. I mean no one truly believes in all that bullshit do they?. The royal family are just a family, the only difference between that family and any other is that they're supposed to be "royal", and for that reason we throw millions of pounds at them year after year, umpteen palaces and allow them to think they're somehow superior to the rest of us because they have "royal blood". What bloody deluded fools we are.
