Like brain surgery or astrophysics. You know the kind of thing that's easier than the absolute slog of princessing.

Indeed. I concur.

coolncalm · 05/08/2018 14:50

They looked lovely in the Vogue cover.
I'm sure they did, it'd be hard not to look lovely on Vogue. But i don't care one way or another what any of them look like. They aren't our betters and it's ridiculous to have a royal family in this day and age.

Apart from anything else they use up an enormous amount of police resources looking after them. At a time of huge cuts to the police i resent that very much. Something to think about if you live in the London area and you need them. 5 highly trained police officers assigned to each of 21 members of the RF at a cost of £100 million. Disgusting.

For once the wedding will be that of a blood princess.

I'm speechless Shock

SamanthaBrique · 05/08/2018 14:54

Ahhh, didn't pay attention to the PP's name at first but just realised it's Rose. Our resident Hyacinth Bouquet. As you were...

RoseWhiteTips · 05/08/2018 15:01

Are you Liam Gallagher? 🤣

RoseWhiteTips · 05/08/2018 15:02

Hyacinth would not know that Liam existed - nor would she think he was hot. 🙄

RoseWhiteTips · 05/08/2018 15:04

But carry on with the vintage television references. Tells me something about your own vintage.😉

Rebecca36 · 05/08/2018 15:13

You are silly. It is difficult, of course it is. They weren't moaning, just telling it like it is. Imagine if either of them had an ordinary job such as being an accountant or working in HR: every mistake would be plastered all over the media and if they got tipsy at Christmas party and snogged someone, or photocopied their bums........

It wasn't a big diatribe, just a remark. Don't be resentful, I doubt you'd swap your life for theirs.

longwayoff · 05/08/2018 15:14

Blood princess? Where do you live? Hogwarts?

LeroyJenkins · 05/08/2018 15:21

For once the wedding will be that of a blood princess. but will the blood princess be marrying a blood prince? otherwise what makes it special?

formerbabe · 05/08/2018 15:30

I thought the royal family never explained, never complained?!

SeaRabbit · 05/08/2018 15:30

I reckon Rosewhitetips is actually Eug & B's mother, ie Sarah, Duchess of York. The clue is the reference to a white rose.

Tinycitrus · 05/08/2018 15:33

“Blood princess” lol

As opposed to
Kate and Meghan? Is that what you mean?

At least those two are dignified.

RoseWhiteTips · 05/08/2018 15:39

Nice try, rabbit. Wrong, though!

pigsDOfly · 05/08/2018 15:40

What is it they do exactly?

Permaexhaustion · 05/08/2018 15:44

this is a significant part of their lives.

(Fail link warning for those who won't besmirch themselves)

LeroyJenkins · 05/08/2018 15:47

Blood princess? Where do you live? Hogwarts? lol, filthy mud-bloods

Tinkety · 05/08/2018 16:06

Charles, William, George, Charlotte, Louis, Harry, Andrew...before you get to those two? That would be some tragedy!

The Cambridges travel together against protocol so in theory something like a plane crash could wipe them all out.

Harry hasn’t had children yet & if for whatever reason he doesn’t or somehow gets to the throne before having children & abdicates, then the throne will pass down Andrew’s line.

It’ll very unlikely but stranger things have happened.

LeroyJenkins · 05/08/2018 16:16

Eugenie got a job in a New York art gallery last July, but in October it was reported that her bosses had banned her from going away after she took 25 days off in her first ten weeks in the role.

wow.....

pigsDOfly · 05/08/2018 16:29

That pretty much sums up why they have no idea what hard work is, or what it means to have to keep a job.

No normal person would think it acceptable to take 25 days off in the first ten weeks of a starting a job. And if they did, rather than being banned from going away by their bosses, they'd be out on their ear.

Blackbirdblue30 · 05/08/2018 16:44

I remember years back seeing some papped article about B&E on holidays with their mother. The 'journalist' made a big deal over how fat the then-teenage Beatrice was. Imagine having to put up with that cruelty at that age.

However, apart from that, I don't feel sorry for them. I think they are lazy and selfish. They could do anything, so much worthwhile, and yet they just sit on holidays and act out having 'jobs' that they've got because of their names, not because of what they can actually do.

I think that nowadays they actually deserve the mockery over their appearance. (Mean I know, and it's not their fault they're not gorgeous but they are now grown adults with buckets of money and access to the best outfits and stylists and hairdressers and all that and they still present themselves looking like lunatics.)

longwayoff · 05/08/2018 17:36

I think the clothes thing is just a family trait. I used to ponder in the same way over their mother who just had no idea about how to dress in her younger days. She was, as you say, awash with stylists, advisors, hairdressers etc, yet managed to look just awful on many occasions. Puzzling.

My take on this interview now, specifically now, is that her wedding is being used as the excuse, but it's to take column inches away from Mr Markle and his undying love and devotion to his daughter. The Palace can't kill that story so they've thrown the press some bait. The DM definitely bit, with hardly anything about Meghan today, when the past few weeks it's been in overdrive (barring Love Island stuff).

isadoradancing123 · 05/08/2018 18:43

Well the answer is simple even for those two thickest, quit public life, don't give interviews and above all get a bloody job

petrolpump28 · 05/08/2018 18:50

Re the clothes, well cut things in good fabric can work wonders. Everyone has a basic shape that can be worked with, rather than trussed up. Say for example judi Dench, looks great.
