To be unsurprised that Corbyn is still being called anti-semitic?

crunchymint · 01/08/2018 14:59

Corbyn has been quite happy over the years to work with those who are clearly anti-Semitic. And he continues to do so. Whilst at the same time saying that he condemns all forms of racism, recently changed to say he condemns anti semitism. Does he not realise yet that people judge him by his actions, not his broad statements which are pretty meaningless? And until he clearly shows in his actions that he condemns anti semitism, these allegations will continue?

Seasawride and maria.
Seeing you obviously don't read my posts just attack the racist.
i will repeat my 19 year old brother died in a RTA, well actually in an ICU. We donated all his organs
After you do that you get an anonomous update on who received which organ. So I know is heart and lungs went to a 13 year girl in London, her heart to a 11 year old boy in Kent. Kidneys to 2 people one in Edinburgh and the other in Bristol. Liver to a rabbi in Finchey is family wrote my parents a letter. Etc.
I spent the next 10 tears doing radio interviews and campaigns to get people to sign the organ tranplant list.

Do take the piss, its still one of the proudist things I every done.

So sorry keep your middle class high earning smuggness. I will stick to my FSM working class 2nd poorest borough in England roots and say good night.

How bloiody rude to think I offer liver to eat. It was a tranplant to someone who would have died. Maybe we should have just pissing buried him and left 17 other people to have died or have a crap future.

derxa · 02/08/2018 22:37

user What has your poor DB's death got to do with anti antisemitism?
My DB died but it's got nothing to do with my political views.

MariaMadita · 02/08/2018 22:41

I did not suggest that anyone would want (or should!!) eat human liver. And I'm not doubting that you know where your brother's liver went...

But all this talk of sex and livers made me think of food. The topic being Anti-Semitism => small mental jump to kosher food. Which then lead me to consider the amount of blood in a liver / the process of koshering it.

I do honestly apologise for not making it very clear that I was not talking about your late brother's liver.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 02/08/2018 22:46

well this thread has taken a dark turn.... was that really necessarily?

MariaMadita · 02/08/2018 22:54

Well, I mean, it has always been rather dark, considering the topic.

But no, that was not necessary and as I said, I should have at least phrased that differently. I am sorry for not doing so and all the emotions my inappropriately phrased and inconsiderate comment may have provoked.

Back to Corbyn?

A name change usually does it

BigLass9 · 03/08/2018 01:10

Yawn. Smearing campaign by the establishment terrified of social democracy.

This

caroldecker · 03/08/2018 01:31

biglass explain his support of the mural which I cannot post on here because mumsnet considers it unacceptable as not anti-semetic. One simple example, his comments, his tweets. No noise about supporters/other issues etc.
He chose to make the comment supporting this.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 03/08/2018 02:21

Maybe I have got it wrong

All this time I thought he was a lazy fucker as let’s face it he does very little and has been a useless opposition leader and fails to hold the government to account over and over again

But it’s all a ploy wow I get it now I bet the Establishment have weekly secret meetings (under the Houses of Parliament wearing Savile row suits and bowler hats) and are quivering in fear of Corbyn as they can see through this act

And I bet they that’s not jam he is making in his shed 🤔

Earthmover · 03/08/2018 04:22

Corbyn puts pals before principles. Doesn't matter what you've done or what your views are. If you've shown him a bit of loyalty over the years, or wear cheesecloth shirts at the weekend, he'll find you a nice cushy number next to him in Parliament(if you enjoy the odd rant about Jews its an added bonus)
Look at the likes of Vaz and Livingston.
They could've goose stepped into parliament with a couple of rent boys at their back every day and Corbyn would've condemned the action but refused to address the individual.

user1497863568 · 03/08/2018 05:36

SamG76 - there's an excellent novel, The Finkler Question, that addresses this.

GoingHigh · 03/08/2018 05:42

Strange man, with strange cheesecloth shirts, strange friends and strange ways.

I will not vote for this current strange version of labour.

SillySallySingsSongs · 03/08/2018 08:25

Some off the Twitter storm comments last night, in all honesty were a bit strange.

People dedicating song lyrics to him as well as declaring their unconditional love for him. Very odd.

Auti · 03/08/2018 08:29

Corbyn has been endorsed by ex KKK wizard David Duke! Grin

TIMES: David Duke, former grand wizard of the Ku Klux Kan, praised the election of Jeremy Corbyn as a sign that people were recognising “Zionist power” and “Jewish establishment power in Britain”

YetAnotherSpartacus · 03/08/2018 08:33

OP There are examples on the thread

Nope. Can't see a single actual, tangible example. I can see accusations and innuendo, but not a single actual example.

SillySallySingsSongs · 03/08/2018 08:38

Corbyn has been endorsed by ex KKK wizard David Duke!

Shock
Seasawride · 03/08/2018 08:44

BigLass

Mmm do you really actually believe that? Do you believe the establishment is afraid of Jeremy Corbyn?

I think you need to gone yourself a head wobble pet

Seasawride · 03/08/2018 08:45

The KKK!

Jesus Jeremy there’s another fine mess you got yourself into! Again.

careerontrack · 03/08/2018 08:52

There’s a little voice which is popping up with increasing regularity from across the pond in New York and that’s the voice of David Milliband. I believe that he and his colleagues are working very hard in the background and when the time is right, when May is unelectable and the Corbyn joke has passed they’ll put their plans into action. They know that now isn’t the time and someone needs to find him a safe seat before he can do too much but I suspect that there will be a big push in the next couple of years where there will be a proper change in the Labour Party.

Derxa
Because Maria happy took the piss of my dead brother, he was called Phil.
seasawride
Why would I change names?
I have posted on the Alfie Evans thread about my brother's death and how it destroyed my family, dad's suicide and a extremely bitter mum who blame me, I got great help and advise on coping with it all. I even thought Derxa made brilliant comments and defended them against some poster's comments.
On Brexit arms I got great help understanding the situation and how to improve my families future. Education threads had a great time explaining what a Ofsted inadequate school is like, and had great advise and support about getting Ds1 to university.
I am not middle class educated, I have CSE level qualifications and finally got GCSE English in 2017, paid for by work. My family came from FSM and council houses, both of us, to owning our own house, no help from parents either.
In the last general election, we spent days researching which party we could vote for, SNP, Greens and Labour lead the way on 75%, and interestingly UKIP 17%, Tory 11% and BNP 5% (Free university tuition for stem courses). Can't vote SNP, in Yorkshire, no Green candidate, so voted Labour. I won't apologise to anyone for that, or not putting Jewish issues into my search, I just wish more people would decide which party to vote, not just vote Labour or Tory because it what we do.

I will apologise if my lack of English skills and inability to concisely and clearly put my thoughts in a "educated" way, lead to me offending anyone and sounding anti-semetic. I am truly sorry for that. But I still think many on here have hypocrite views, if you call out Corbyn and Abbott, call out the Tories.
Just for anotherlurker and you Seasawride, more whatabouttery , would you describe Edwina Currie, as a jumped up secretary who was shagging the boss, whilst in her job?
If not why not?
Surely she is as bad as Dianne Abbott, but no one ever mentions it in her case, I call that two faced, sorry.
Once again sorry if I caused offense.

Childrenofthesun · 03/08/2018 09:23

I have voted Labour in the past, though not for a very long time and I would never vote for them with Corbyn as leader - I think he's been hopeless in opposition, contributes almost nothing in PM questions and seems generally invisible.

However, I am getting a bit fed up with all the column inches devoted to anti-Semitism in the Labour party. I think it's a serious issue and they need to get a grip on it, but it certainly isn't more serious than the fact that, for example, local councils are saying they won't be able to safeguard children due to funding cuts, the DWP has been forced to pay compensation to cancer patients and disabled people because of the conditions they were left in due to the fuck-ups in UC etc, not to mention the shit-show that is Brexit. The media needs to get it's objectivity over news reporting sorted.

Seasawride · 03/08/2018 09:29

careerontrack

That is very interesting and I really hope it happens. He was always miles better than Ed, who I think incidentally got us into this mess with Corbyn in the first place.

I like David. Optimism resurging.

user

I mentioned name changing because you have put a lot of very personal and identifiable details of your life and your fsmilies life on an Internet forum. But that’s up to you.

Now the thread was about Corbyn not the Tories so why would they be mentioned? If you want to discuss the Tories you start another thread yourself. Knock yourself out. It’s whataboutary for you to keep banging on about the Tories being worse on a thread about the anti Semite Corbyn.

Edwina curry was not anyone’s secretary as far as I remember. She was once head of the council in brum and then became an MP, Dianne was also an MP.

Where do you get this obsession with secretaries? Confused

Seasawride · 03/08/2018 09:33

ChildrenOfttheSun

I agree with you but it’s not the press it’s the lack of holding the Tories to account and the inability to control his racist party members which is the problem.

The problem is Corbyn. He should be mentioning and fighting against all you stated but he’s not. The press focus on what’s in the news.

Make no mistake this is all down to Corbyn woeful ability to lead.

Justanotherlurker · 03/08/2018 09:40

more whatabouttery , would you describe Edwina Currie, as a jumped up secretary who was shagging the boss, whilst in her job?

I am not sure you understand whataboutry and are doing it yourself.

Currie was incompetent and ripped to shreds by the media and general population hence why she resigned after 2 years.

However, I'm not sure the relevance or comparisons to Abbot, nor do I see why there should be a qualifier before you can highlight the many of Abbots failings, I have not mentioned about Abbot and Corbyn sleeping together, what they did in the past is up to them, why Corbyn supporters have somehow ignored her prominence in the "Red Tory" years of Blaire is a bit strange considering her staggering amount of hypocrisy during that time and one of the reasons why Corbyn was elected in the first place.
