He got it a few weeks back and he's washed it, polished it or vac it daily, on Sunday he spent over four hours cleaning it. I haven't seen him driving it yet & it's parked in his garage all the time.
He's late 30's married to a horrible woman (to us anyway) has two children & works.

What the Hell makes someone love their car so much. It's a piece of metal.

I last washed mine a few years back & it resembles a dustbin inside.

Sexual frustration.

RedPanda2 · 02/08/2018 09:34

A previous neighnour of mine washed her white BMW every other day. I never saw her go out in it.

YeTalkShiteHen · 02/08/2018 09:36

DP washes his pick up and my wee car every weekend, I do the interiors of both.

His is a work truck and mine is for the kids so both get pretty manky through the week.

Our neighbour does his van meticulously every week. Takes all the magnetic signs off with his company details on and washes them and under them, inside of the van is meticulous and organised with precision too.

He's a builder - that trade not known for immaculate vans but his is!

curlilox · 02/08/2018 10:44

Can't remember when my car was washed last.Grin

purplelila2 · 02/08/2018 10:54

What's wrong with taking care of your car/ possessions ?

I find it disgusting when people don't lool after their cars and drive filthy dustbins

CosyLulu · 02/08/2018 11:21

There's rather an overuse of the word 'disgusting.' Seems a bit much to me. Surely the desire to clean and the desire to be more relaxed about the cleanliness of one's car have equal validity as a life choice? I wouldn't even call Washbosh (as described above) disgusting. Just a bit ... well ... weird.

cheesemongery · 02/08/2018 12:22

Funny you should say that. I was hoovering my car out today and I noticed that there were loads of bits of stray grass on my driveway and in the garden. I did strongly consider hoovering the driveway but decided against it incase the neighbors saw me grin

Haha - look!!! That mad womans at it again!! Grin actually sounded a sensible idea.

shinyredbus · 02/08/2018 12:37

What’s your AIBU? I’m confused.

Is he unreasonable for cleaning his car - no. You are being unreasonable to come on her to have a moan about him cleaning his car beacaue you clearly dislike his wife, you think she thinks they’re better than you so you’ve come on here to have a go about this man washing his car - just to have something to moan about. Hmm Blush

Downtheroadfirstonleft · 02/08/2018 19:42

What on earth has it got to do with you?

Someone you are not connected to, likes to keep their car clean.... Most point;ess Aibu ever.

Hakunamatata23 · 02/08/2018 23:17

He's obviously very proud of his car. It will wear off.

Tbh I wash my brand new Vauxhall viva car every few weeks and I have never hoovered inside of it and I brought it in May of this year. Yikes.

Bashun · 04/08/2018 22:27

The question is why do you even care? Why are you obsessing over with somebody done with four hours of their own time? Don't you think that's a little odd?

Bashun · 04/08/2018 22:36

Then why are you watching him?

di2004 · 05/08/2018 16:57

.. it's probably his pride & joy, like most men with their new cars.
