Yanbu. The more they try to show her up, the more distant they appear in contrast to her. They're actually doing her a favour discrediting themselves so much. I rolled my eyes when I saw another headline about them this morning. I don't even know his name or the half siblings's names. The title today referred to him as MM's Dad not by his name. MM should hold her head high to have turned out so well despite her background.

Even if she wanted too she wouldn't be able to contact them now. How could she trust they wouldn't run straight to the papers to misquote whatever she said to them. Hopefully the interest in them will fizzle out as they've nothing new to say.

She is totally right, I think she cut them out of her life way before she met Prince Harry, hence his comment about being part of a 'proper family'. I can see why she did, they are awful. I feel that if they did not go running to the press every 5 mins, kept a low profile, she would have a much better relationship with them. I think she is worried that anything she tells her father, will be in the news the next day. They just smack trashy to me.

But she really isn’t coming out of this well. Her father paid for her private ecucation and university so he was hardly a dead beat dad. MM mentioned him on Fathers Day on her Tig lifestyle blog so why can’t he mention her? He’s the recluse after all

The more he talks to the press, the worse he looks, MM is keeping a dignified silence, instead of raising to the bait.

I don't think paying for your child's education gives you the right to publicly and repeatedly berate and humiliate them. My own df paid a large sum for my education but he doesn't mention it ever - apart from once when I thanked him and he told me there was no need as it was his choice and not something I had asked for.

My own ex pays child maintenance every month but hasn't seen the dc in 5 years so perfectly possible to hand over money and still be a shit dad.

User1457 the Markels are not exactly making themselves look good are they! Each time they go to the press airing their dirty laundry and putting it all out there for all to see, if I were MM, I would not want anything to do with the lot of them.
