I do feel sorry for her actually. Trying to reconcile the Beverly hillbillies and the royals cant be easy.

I think Samantha Markle isn't very nice but I read this yesterday (not copied but as I recall the gist of it)
They were living quiet lives in small town America. They have things in their pasts that they would prefer were splashed across world papers and magazines (bankruptcies, evictions, divorces, family fall-outs, alcohol abuse) . No close relationship now with Megan Markle but have had in the past until she became famous. Suddenly- without warning them- she is dating and engaged to Harry and their lives become public property. Press digging around in their pasts, paying friends, ex's, local people who hardly know them, for any scraps of scandal. They have had Press outside their houses since then, following them, photographing them, asking questions, provoking them. They were humiliated publicly over the wedding. No idea what was going on anymore than what was in the papers. No invites but asked all the time about them. Trashed as 'hillbillies' by the Press and on social media.

So which of us would feel we had to keep our mouths shut for Meghan's sake? They are poor, Samantha has M S and huge medical bills. Why shouldn't they make a bit of cash and tell their side? She feels she owes them nothing so why do they owe her anything?

Oh and the other bit said the Markles had no help at all from Kensington Palace. Apparently the Middletons had an advisor from KP Press Office who helped them navigate the Press and liaised with the Press and William and Kate supported them, William in particular was insistent that they were looked after and fully involved. The Markles have had no support or advice.

But before all that happened Samantha, under the nane samantha Grant, wrote a book called my sister the pushy wantabee princess

You don't need an advisor to tell you not to slag off your daughter/sister/brother. The family are obviously dysfunctional, bitter and attention seeking, the latter has seen them tap into a goldmine of money from the press who will print everything they say. Soon they will have nothing new to say so it will dry up.

IF, IF this is true I think the guy is a complete wanker tbh. You don't spend on your children's education in the hope of them giving you money later. You SHOULD spend because you're a parent who is doing the best they can for their child (whether that's a wealthy parent paying for Eton or a single parent on benefits trying to scrape together the cash for school uniform and equipment)

I often remind DS1 how much money was spent on his education and wonder when I'm getting it back - but none of us is in any doubt that it is always said IN JEST! Just as my DSs always give us a humorous side-eye when we buy a new car or book a holiday on the grounds that there'll be less for them when we die. For any parent to make it clear that they expect recompense for their spending on the children they chose to have is utterly reprehensible.
