I am invited to the Evening Doo of a quite relaxed 2nd marriage (for both).
I need to be cool but don't want to wear a dress particularly.
What do you think of, really nice quality white crop trousers, with a pale blue, floaty tunic top, worn with strappy heels?
Will that be ok, do you think?
The top and crops arrived today and I really like them so would keep them anyway.

For a summer wedding evening do that sounds perfect.

Sounds nice and cool, smart but noy overdressed. In terms of coolness check the lables - viscose, rayon etc are significantly cooler than polyester. Some modern microfibres come close but have an annoying tendency to cling.

The floaty top is 65% viscose 35%polyester but feels just like crinkle cotton.
The crops are 74% viscose 23% polyamide and 3%elastane and feel like very smooth cotton.
So enough viscose to be cool, I hope!
I feel the heat, so polyester is a killer for me, red lobster face is not a good look.
Very interesting about the "death stare"! I'm quite good at those myself if someone ruffles my feathers.

Last wedding I went to I wore a dress from Hobbs, 100% polyester - felt comfortable and looked smart. Luckily no S&B bouncer at the door saying, Only silk, cashmere, fine wool, linen or cotton permitted.
