We just had 5 minutes of rain in North Wales! Is this it? Ground wet for the first time in weeks!

Another pasty northern lass near Preston. Sat indoors working from home with all of the curtains closed!
The rain is coming apparently!

We've had a bit (SW London) but it's barely damped the surface. More is forecast tonight, so I really hope it's right.

I brought cushions in, but now thinking I should put them out again....

I'm going to make this.

DH is an electrician and will probably mumble something about electricity and water, but I'm gonna try!

We've had lots of rumbles of thunder and a very small amount of rain. Me and ds went outside and danced in it. He's very pleased as he's been worrying about the wildlife in the weather.
When it stopped I told him he needed to do a rain dance. He asked how do you do that, so I told him he had to strip naked and floss. He's passed on the idea.

Currently tipping it down in SE London but the earth is so dry it would need to rain for a week to get the grass back to normal.

And even as I typed this, the rain stopped and the sun came back out.

It's started again here. I hope it reaches all of you soon!

It rained for about 2 mins in my part of London.

I knew it would - I bought new garden chairs today, and am due to go to a party in someone's garden later on.

We've had rain at least once a week down here in Cornwall.

We were in Cornwall for a week until Tuesday, and we only saw rain once. We were at Golitha Falls having something to eat at the rib shack place, and it absolutely chucked it down - I don't think I've ever seen such heavy rain. It eased a bit after half an hour or so, but carried on raining. When we got back to the east side of the moor, where we were staying that night, it was bone dry and hadn't rained all day. It was only about 5 miles away.

So the world it's finally righting itself up.
Rain in London and heat in Lisbon, as it should.

Update from North bucks, it stopped after ten minutes but I had already packed parasol and chair away. Now back in house and still 28 bastard degrees and forgot to buy the peroni

No rain yet in Essex, but just had thunder. DC are very excited. Hoping for rain and the house to cool down
