Where mcpeppa? Im 8 miles from shampton and we want some too!

Stinkyfeet · 27/07/2018 15:56

Dark clouds, a few rumbles of thunder and wind picking up nr Heathrow. Rain just starting!

Blostma · 27/07/2018 15:56

I can't decide if we have thunder now, or if it is just weird atmospherics affecting the sound of planes (near HR). It has certainly got very dark suddenly. I might bring the washing in...

longwayoff · 27/07/2018 15:58

Hey thanks. Just arrived. Ahhhhhhhh

IJustHadToNameChange · 27/07/2018 15:58

Nope.

Not a drop.

We've got the threat of rain and even thunderstorms, but it's less than a 50% chance.

Whatthefoxgoingon · 27/07/2018 15:58

I’m crossing all my fingers and toes for London...

CryingMessFFS · 27/07/2018 15:59

I am jealous. In about 8 weeks here (West Midlands) we have had about 3 showers and they were useless and lasted about 10minutes. I. Need. Rain.

NoWordForFluffy · 27/07/2018 15:59

Don't get excited. It chucked it down in York earlier, coupled with thunder and lightning. We expected it to clear the air; how wrong we were as it then went sunny and was hotter / more oppressive than before. Not a winning situation!

Happycow · 27/07/2018 15:59

I'm in SE..... we have cloud!!!! 🙌

PuntCuffin · 27/07/2018 16:00

It's started and stopped again here. Barely even made the patio damp.

McPeppaMcYumPig · 27/07/2018 16:01

Near Basingstoke area 😁 @longwayoff ...more thunder rumbles!!!
Loving all the live updates of weather 😂

It was raining but its still boiling

lidoshuffle · 27/07/2018 16:03

Our serious IT geek was running round the car park with upturned face and widespread arms!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 27/07/2018 16:03

You lucky, lucky sod!

It keeps pretending it's going to rain here (NE), and then spits three drops out and laughs. The heat is oppressive.

McPeppaMcYumPig · 27/07/2018 16:03

@lidoshuffle that is incredible, what a guy

AveABanana · 27/07/2018 16:03

It's raining here. The kids (who have just finished off ice lollies) immediately asked for hot chocolate Hmm
It's still horribly hot inside. I don't get how the house is freezing all winter but boiling in summer, like insulation only works for 6 months of the year.

0h · 27/07/2018 16:03

Very short lived thunder storm here last night but it's still as hot (hotter even!) and muggy as ever. 😭

TerfsUp · 27/07/2018 16:04

Shaddap. It's not raining here and I'm fed up and cranky and grumpy and hot and sweaty.

SomethingNastyInTheBallPool · 27/07/2018 16:04

Nothing in North London yet, but it’s clouded over and the wind’s picked up.

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 27/07/2018 16:04

North Essex and it rained in the early hours. You wouldnt think it did though.

murasaki · 27/07/2018 16:05

Lovely big sploshy rain here in Croydon, but I think it'll only last 5 minutes. Caught the cat unawares though!

Porcelaincup · 27/07/2018 16:05

West London. No rain. Some fluffy white candy floss clouds that look like they might be able to squeeze out a teaspoon of rain. But only if they all worked together.

McPeppaMcYumPig · 27/07/2018 16:05

@TerfsUp very sweaty indeed. I don't think I've even worn a bra for about a week now. Least it saves on clothes washing 😂

SoupDragon · 27/07/2018 16:05

Just had some fat drops of rain and a single round of thunder in south London. Just as I put some washing on so it’ll be dry to pack 😂

user546425732 · 27/07/2018 16:06

We had masses of rain and thunder last night in the East Midlands but this morning it was back to being muggy again.
