Rained for about 2 1/2 mins here (Surrey) but it's so localised. Heavy rain in some other areas of the county but we only got a few drops - I want a deluge!

Mooey89 · 27/07/2018 16:33

Don’t know why pic didn’t attach!!

Storm4star · 27/07/2018 16:33

I've also learnt what petrichor means

Haha, me too! I just googled it Blush

funnylittlefloozie · 27/07/2018 16:33

Its very dark...and there is thunder...but still no rain!! I want rain, even jsut a tiny bit.

Daysofpearlyspencer · 27/07/2018 16:35

Nothing yet in
North Bucks, just wind and one cloud it's 28 degrees inside the house

ToadOfSadness · 27/07/2018 16:35

Every day it has gone cloudy in the afternoon, and every morning the sun has been back. 33 degrees yesterday and 31 today.

Once again there are clouds looming but there is also wind and it is blowing them away from here.

Yesterday we were forecast storms, and more today we had no
storms. Today rain at 19.00 but if the wind is blowing it away I see no hope ahead. There are dark clouds towards Herts so someone might be lucky.

sagasleathertrousers · 27/07/2018 16:35

Kent - I hear thunder and it's gone dark....

Ok, cloudy and some thunder here in Kent, come on down rain.

murasaki · 27/07/2018 16:35

I was so pleased when I learned that there is an actual word for that smell.

IsabelleSE19 · 27/07/2018 16:36

YESSS!! Raining here in West Sussex, for literally the first time in two months. Crazy.

Amanduh · 27/07/2018 16:36

Booo. It’s supposed to rain here all Sunday. Boo hisd

Amanduh · 27/07/2018 16:36

*hiss

OctaviaOctober · 27/07/2018 16:37

I've finally broken and ordered a £229 Dyson desk fan because all the reasonably priced fans locally are out of stock. If the heatwave breaks here today or tomorrow I'll actually be quite pissed off!

MrsSteveMcDonald · 27/07/2018 16:38

We've had rain at least once a week down here in Cornwall. The water butt hasn't run out and we use it for watering the garden each day. It's been raining on and off today and it's now so cold that I have had to go and put a jumper on

tapdancingmum · 27/07/2018 16:38

#floozie it didn't last. Went in to put dinner on and it's all stopped ☹️ and still as warm.

Blushah · 27/07/2018 16:39

Member I watch the lightning map sometimes and google the live webcams nearby to see if I can spot flashes! Saw a great storm over Gracelands recently Grin.

I too, now know what petrichor means. But in my back garden with its 7 teaspoons of rain, the smell was less petrichor, more 'guano' . Birdshit revitalised by a splash of rain. Nice.

edwinbear · 27/07/2018 16:40

The bloody sun is out again without a drop in SE London

McPeppaMcYumPig · 27/07/2018 16:40

We need to sing a round robin. I'll start. I hear thunder, I hear thunder!

edwinbear · 27/07/2018 16:42

Hark don’t you, hark don’t you?

BinG0wings123 · 27/07/2018 16:42

It rained in Hounslow for 3 mins. Fantastic, huge drops.

Then it stopped.

The kids were dancing in it.

Blushah · 27/07/2018 16:42

Hark don't you?
Hark, don't you?

Flamingo19 · 27/07/2018 16:42

@sagasleathertrousers

Where in Kent are you? I’m getting excited! Gone so dark!

Blushah · 27/07/2018 16:42
