Aibu MNHQ does not want us to debate brexit on the main boards

Just that.

Someone shared a link to the Independent's Final Say petition. The most important debate this nation can have right now is on the final brexit deal. This was promptly buried in the 'petitions' section.
This isn't any old petition. It concerns all mums/ citizens. If someone wants to share it with the wider MN community, they should be able to.

Mind you they kept this one.

Well I've reported it & asked for it to be moved to the Brexit section (or deleted as a TAAT).

If a few more do, hopefully it'll get shifted to it's rightful place....

rainbowsandsmiles · 27/07/2018 10:32

What's brexit?

There's a joke for that but it's not very PC and it'd prob go down like a lead balloon on here. Grin

Seasawride I can't see any other logical explanation for why they repeatedly censored remainers for very minor things and in some cases apparently disabled people's accounts (without any kind of explanation or even admitting to it), but let the Brexiters say absolutely anything they liked.

I didn’t I voted remain. But it’s done. There was a vote and we are leaving. I manage not to be hysterical.

And honestly do you not understand the nature of grandstanding and negotiating?

What do you think both sides should be doing? Each are trying to get the best deal possible and will end up compromising. That’s life.

Seasawride · 27/07/2018 10:43

lovelyn

If you have actual evidence of this you should ask for an explanation but my comment sense tells me it’s not bias. I think you are so emotional about this you are blinkered. And I am not being rude here you are entitled to be passionate but I think you are loosing the plot over this

rainbowsandsmiles · 27/07/2018 10:45

SlartiAardvark - well if they do move it then that will definitely make me think that there is a bias

Grin which is why I changed my mind and think (just this one) should stay as it will be more cries of conspiracy theories if it does!

rainbowsandsmiles · 27/07/2018 10:46

I'm not hysterical either

That's good then, but your posts suggest otherwise.

I did ask for explanations at the time, particularly as to why certain pretty innocuous posts by remainers had been deleted for apparently not adhering to the "talk guidelines" whereas other, obviously abusive, ones by leavers were allowed to stay.

I also asked why my account had mysteriously stopped working.

Radio silence. Not a whisper.

rainbowsandsmiles · 27/07/2018 10:53

To be fair, you're not the one with the conspiracy theories but still, this amount of doom mongering can't be healthy for anyone.

rainbowsandsmiles · 27/07/2018 10:53

that was to motheroffourdragons by the way.

GnotherGnu · 27/07/2018 10:54

the idiots are outnumbered this time.

It could be argued that they were outnumbered last time.

Which is why they lost.

Well, no, 37% of the electorate voted in favour. You could well say that those who didn't vote were also idiots, which would put remainers firmly in the minority, but you can't claim that leavers comprised the majority of the electorate.

rainbowsandsmiles · 27/07/2018 10:54

I also asked why my account had mysteriously stopped working.

Aliens? No, got it. Gremlins.

rainbowsandsmiles · 27/07/2018 10:56

I also asked why my account had mysteriously stopped working. Radio silence. Not a whisper.

Maybe because they were too busy rolling their eyes?

LoveInTokyo · 27/07/2018 10:56

It happened to other remainers too.

No leavers though.

LoveInTokyo · 27/07/2018 10:57

rainbows, if someone emails MNHQ to ask why they suddenly can't log in anymore, I would expect them to get a response saying either "you have been banned because you did X which is against the rules" or "oh, that's strange, we'll look into that for you".

No?

rainbowsandsmiles · 27/07/2018 10:58

No leavers though.

How do you know? Confused You know how everyone voted and whether they did or didn't suddenly have their accounts taken off them or whatever as part of your conspiracy theory?

LoveInTokyo · 27/07/2018 11:00

Well none of the prolific leavers suddenly disappeared and stopped posting except for the obvious trolls who disappeared the day after the referendum and didn't even gloat despite having been goady gobshites day in day out for months on end because their work was done here and no leavers came back under a new username complaining that their old accounts had stopped working. It happened with several remainers though, including me.

Depends how you worded it, surely? If you genuinely were asking why you couldn't log in, fair enough. Should answer.
If your query was mentioned anything like the tin foil hat posts that you've put on here, it doesn't come across well and just looks - well, for want of a better and not rude word - outlandish and paranoid.
