£195 from John Lewis in 2012

Celticrose · 22/07/2018 16:35

£189 in 1986. Loved it then but now when I watch SYTTD I wished that some of those styles had been available then

PomBearWithoutHerOFRS · 22/07/2018 16:36

37us dollars. From Holy Clothing, a silver dress with Celtic embroidery.

Shmithecat · 22/07/2018 16:37

First one was a Justin Alexander gown, £1300 in 2006.

Second one was a Ghost dress, £200 in 2012.

Friolero · 22/07/2018 16:38

£1400, ten years ago.

Bea1985 · 22/07/2018 16:38

I wore a pencil skirt and ivory coloured vintage top, £40 for both.

Changing70 · 22/07/2018 16:42

2005 - £50 for a sale wedding dress from BHS (paid £150 for alterations) and £80 for a voile full length ‘coat’ (with train) with white feathers at the cuffs and collar and completely covered with pearls and sparkles. Reduced from £500 in Pronuptuia. Second wedding and I felt amazing!

Hippopotas · 22/07/2018 16:54

Mine was £2000 plus a custom made bolero for £500 plus alterations. My dress was this www.houseofmooshki.com/our-dresses/rose-2/

Hippopotas · 22/07/2018 16:54

Just to add I got married in March this year

Dreamingofkfc · 22/07/2018 16:55

£1250 - made to measure, absolutely loved it

PortiaCastis · 22/07/2018 16:56

Mine was hand made by my Grandmother, priceless

Thingsthatgo · 22/07/2018 16:57

£280 in 2011 for a brand new silk Suzanne Neville dress. I bought it from a lady who’d got pregnant and couldn’t wear it for her own wedding. It fitted perfectly.

BathshebaKnickerStickers · 22/07/2018 16:57

£535 for a Benjamin Roberts dress 19 years ago

And it’s still beautiful

CigarsofthePharoahs · 22/07/2018 16:58

I spent about £50 on satin, lining and net and made my own dress. I made my own veil too.
My mum gave me some gorgeous white brocade from China and I made a lovely jacket to go with it.
Meant we could afford a much classier reception!

JaceLancs · 22/07/2018 16:58

£60 it was 30 years ago though!

ForTheLoveOfSleep · 22/07/2018 16:58

£80 from Quiz bought 3 months ago.

It's now on sale for £34.99 in House of Fraser 😤

CigarsofthePharoahs · 22/07/2018 16:58

So technically I bought it from Fabric Land!

Wincarnis · 22/07/2018 17:00

1982, Around 40 pounds, home made version of Princess Diana’s dress.

Eloisedublin123 · 22/07/2018 17:02

€4000 9 years ago 😬😬😬😬 it was Vera wang though. But still... 😬

MyBreadIsEggy · 22/07/2018 17:04

Boutique in my mums home town, was a MoriLee design, cost £900 plus £250 in alterations.
It needed the hem shortening, but the entire thing was lace. So the seamstress had to cut off the bottom few inches with the intricate lace pattern, then shorten the dress, then match up the lace pattern from the bit she had cut off the bottom to the pattern at the bottom of the dress itself and hand stitch it all Blush
She did an incredible job! You couldn’t even tell it had been cut and restricted. Which at £250 I thought was a bargain for that kind of alteration!

AlphaBravo · 22/07/2018 17:05

£200 2013 bought it online.

BeetlebumShesAGun · 22/07/2018 17:05

£325 plus £90 for the veil. It was already a cheaper dress and it was in the sale. I tried on much more expensive ones but I had a really specific idea of what I wanted and this was the one! My mum paid for it. I spent £200 on shoes which were hand painted.

Shokjok · 22/07/2018 17:06

I was married in 2007 and i paid £1250 for a beautiful dress from my local dress makers. I loved it and wish I could wear it again😀

takenitall · 22/07/2018 17:06

1900 before I had it tailored 🙈

Echobelly · 22/07/2018 17:06

It was a bridesmaid dress, can't remember the make - cost about £180, plus some money for alterations that left it still not quite right, but I didn't care as it wasn't like it was a pricelessly expensive dress! We did have a good laugh that my husband's wedding suit cost more than my entire outfit (including my custom-made shoes and hat!)
