To think that applying cream to intimate areas in a communal changing room is too much?

In hotel and there is a communal pool change room for each sex. In the women's one day when I was drying my hair I saw a woman stark naked with her leg up on the bench applying cream to her vulva/labia. I wasn't staring at her I just glanced up as I head the door from pool open and was checking if it was my friend.

There are private changing cubicles/many toilets/shower cubicles less than 5 foot away from her.

I'm not offended I'm just confused why you'd do it in full view of everyone. Am I being a prude? I don't often go to pools/gyms with communal changing. So maybe I am out of touch with the norm? My local one is mixed sex and all single cubicles.

I don’t think it would bother me someone else doing it but it’s not something I would do. Just shows she’s comfortable in her skin I suppose? Although it’s easy to be all liberal and non judgy when I wasn’t there.

Processedpea · 20/07/2018 21:38

it's a bit odd to be frank isn't it

Sparklingbrook · 20/07/2018 21:39

YANBU

That's one for in private IMO.

PitterPatterOfBigFeet · 20/07/2018 21:40

I don't think I'd care if someone else chose to do it but wouldn't ever dream of doing it myself.

CheeseGirl4 · 20/07/2018 21:41

I disagree with the 'comfortable in the own skin' thing. It is totally exhibitionism.

Worieddd · 20/07/2018 21:44

Bleurgh

Fatted · 20/07/2018 21:45

Not bothered by communal changing rooms. They're generally the norm in any gyms I've used. I wouldn't be comfortable with someone doing that in a communal area though. My first thought was what if the cream was for some kind of infection.

MaMaMaMySharona · 20/07/2018 21:45

Yeah I would be creeped out by that

JeezYouLoon · 20/07/2018 21:45

There's comfortable in your own skin and are you having a laugh! I'm comfortable in my own skin but I'm aware other people aren't so would never 'flaunt' it.

Shoving cream on your nether regions definitely falls into flaunting it it my book. No one needs an audience for that.

Lollypop701 · 20/07/2018 21:46

Just no for me. Also wouldn’t be offended just go to a cubicle

MissusGeneHunt · 20/07/2018 21:48

Way too personal for a communal area... What's next, piles suppositories??!!

surferjet · 20/07/2018 21:48

Yuk. I would have reported her for anti social behaviour.

At my last gym there was a woman who would walk around naked and would stick one leg up on a bench and dry her foof in full display it was awful... especially if you were sitting on said bench! All very deliberate exhibitionism

Takfujimoto · 20/07/2018 21:54

Grim, but I wouldn't make a fuss, best to ignore exhibitionists.

I saw a woman insert her mooncup at my local leisure centre, that did get a lip curl from me everyone.

MsChandlerBong · 20/07/2018 21:57

surfer they wouldn't have cared if I reported her.

I'm a hotel guest and get to use the pool/gym/spa cos of that. She's a local and has paid for a private membership to the club so she's more important to them than I am.

You can tell who is who cos we have diff bands. And also local people have their own stuff etc. Hotel tend to have hotel towels etc.

The general behaviour in the communal change bit seems to be do EVERYTHING apart from getting dressed. Dry hair/make up on/write a doctoral dissertation naked and then get dressed. But I know from the Michael McIntyre sketch that that's the norm in these places.

That baffles me but I know some.people are just happy naked.

But the creaming shocked me.

Somethings are best done in private.

I mean, would you insert a tampon or a suppository in full view?

PurpleArmy · 20/07/2018 22:08

Just saw these already mentioned.

Shock at mooncup.

User183737 · 20/07/2018 22:10

Thats disgusting.
Who creams their labia anyway?? Weirdo.

User183737 · 20/07/2018 22:10

Ugh mooncup Envy

PositivelyPERF · 20/07/2018 22:13

I would have given her a sympathetic look and told her I hope the cream helped clear up her thrush. 😁😇

Aeroflotgirl · 20/07/2018 22:16

There is just no need for that.

IhopeyoulikeNavantoo · 20/07/2018 22:18

gross. I would never do that.
