To tell you about Galaxy Ripples

Grrr! Galaxy Ripples seemed to be one of few remaining chocolate bars that hadn't changed and been ruined. Until today. I bought one to have with a cuppa at lunchtime and what's happened? It's turned into some sort of disgusting waxy shit. It was like cheap cooking chocolate. I actually threw half of it in the bin. Obviously the palm oil has 'got it'.

Beech's does not list palm oil in the ingredients. £1.99 for 60g bar.

That's the problem isn't it, the cost of real chocolate. Mind you, means we buy less and value the quality.

Toblerone is returning to its former shape, presumably a victory for the consumer through lost sales? - so perhaps Mondelez DO listen?

8 think ripples did change over the years. In the 90s they still crumbled but had a slight crunch as you but them. They tasted much nicer too.

I wish they'd bring the old flavours back, even if only for a limited time.

koko No I don't think Cadbury has sunk quite to Hershey standard yet. It has deteriorated in a different way. Hershey has always tasted (to me) like dried out chocolate that you find in a cupboard and try (even though it's 10 years old and been through 9 hot summers) and immediately spit out for being tasteless, dry and slightly rancid. Feels like it has zero milk in it.

Old Cadbury was creamy and the very opposite of this.

New Cadbury is waxy and tasteless.

I envy your purchase. They haven't had the awesome Milk Chocolate with Sea Salt and feuilletine in my Waitrose for a while. The bar code thing is there but the shelf is empty. Thieving purchasers!!

I can't begin to tell you how gutted I am, I was totally addicted to ripples bought packets of four and had at least one a day.
Today I had my last ripple because after tasting one to day I never want to eat another one it was disgusting that bad it kept a horrible after taste in my mouth. I'm sick and tied if being mugged of by these companies not only are their products half the size at double the cost they now use cheap horrible ingredients

And here was me thinking this was a thread about the universe and science perhaps discovering how we may be able to fold space time one day. They don't come about that often. The last one was the Fermi Paradox and feels like a year ago now.
