To tell you about Galaxy Ripples

Grrr! Galaxy Ripples seemed to be one of few remaining chocolate bars that hadn't changed and been ruined. Until today. I bought one to have with a cuppa at lunchtime and what's happened? It's turned into some sort of disgusting waxy shit. It was like cheap cooking chocolate. I actually threw half of it in the bin. Obviously the palm oil has 'got it'.

RIP Galaxy Ripple Angry

Anonnymouse54321 · 19/07/2018 22:01

WHAT!!!

Fucking travesty!

I can't stand cadburys now, tastes like shit. Galaxy was one of the good ones.

Littlemissdaredevil · 19/07/2018 22:02

Please tell me galaxy bars haven’t gone to shit

Phosphorus · 19/07/2018 22:03

Oh no!

Are you sure it isn't just the weather?

My Oreo chocolate bar was a bit melty (I'm no connoisseur Blush ) .

KimberWozRobbed · 19/07/2018 22:03

Galaxy tastes like lard now Sad

Yogafailure · 19/07/2018 22:04

I found the last Ripple I saw was...salty, of all things 🤔🙈👿

Yogafailure · 19/07/2018 22:05

Saw - ate. Bloody strange autocorrect

Souledout · 19/07/2018 22:05

Oh fuck off.

Ripples, not you!

AppleKatie · 19/07/2018 22:06

Shock another one bites the dust.

Rainhunter · 19/07/2018 22:06

Stick with Flakes. You're always safe with a flake.

SlowlyShrinking · 19/07/2018 22:08

The last one I had was claggy af 😞

SlowlyShrinking · 19/07/2018 22:09

Ripple that is, not flake

SilverySurfer · 19/07/2018 22:10

No surprise as it contains palm oil - same as Cadbury's (including the Flake) - inedible crap.

mistermagpie · 19/07/2018 22:12

I used to love a ripple, this is rubbish. I made rice crispie cakes the other day using dairy milk and they tasted horrible!

Can anyone recommend a decent chocolate?

Katyx3 · 19/07/2018 22:12

That's pure scandal I thought galaxy were the bees when it came to chocolate!

Has anyone been fooled by the 2 litre bottle of coke? They're sugar free the sneaky bastards!!!!

2up2manydown · 19/07/2018 22:14

Im finding it increasingly difficult to maintain my chocolate addiction. Soon I’ll be one of those weirdos getting my sweet fix from a frozen grape or a fresh fig...

MsHomeSlice · 19/07/2018 22:14

oh no....i gleefully snatched up a 7pack of large ripples in HomeBargains and stashed them away for a treat...don't tell me they are bad news now?

2up2manydown · 19/07/2018 22:15

Can still highly recommend a Tunnocks wafer though. Can easily eat a 4 pack of those chocolatey bastards.

Bluelonerose · 19/07/2018 22:16

But malteasers are still Ok?

womanversusfood · 19/07/2018 22:16

Daughter got Galaxy selection box at Christmas and was so excited . All bars tasted shit...she's only 7 so doesn't know any different but felt a bit sad/pissed off that we're now being fobbed off with waxy, greasy, tasteless crap masquerading as chocolate.

2up2manydown · 19/07/2018 22:18

Oh and Lindt chocolate hazelnut bars are still yummy, if pricey.

Mississippilessly · 19/07/2018 22:19

Yep. DH bought us one each a while ago. Seriously bad. Twirls are much nicer (only Cadburys I eat now)

elephantfan · 19/07/2018 22:19

Lidl and Aldi chocolate is nice. Mind you I havent bought any for a couple of years so don't know if it has changed.
Waitrose dark chocolate is good. I sometimes buy a tiny bar to have with my free coffee.Smile

SneakyGremlins · 19/07/2018 22:20

Milka is still okay!
