To ask what important things you have accidentally put in the washing machine

I can now add passport laundering, debit card laundering, and oyster card laundering to my CV, all in one day, right before I was supposed to go to the airport. I am still here, I was searching everywhere for these things and couldn’t find them only to realize, they got hot and went for a swim in the washing machine. Thankfully, the debit card is working, I tried it in the ATM and contactless. I haven’t tried the orchestra card, but I hope it’s OK. And I’m trying to dry out my passport. I googled and apparently I’m not the only one who has accidentally put a passport in the washing machine. Please reassure me and tell me about your experiences, and was everything OK in the end? A friend of mine said it was lucky I didn’t put my card in the dryer

My mobile phone. After 3 days sitting on the radiator, it worked! (Pre smartphone days. It was a Nokia).

Oh and my DD's beloved toy dog..... it was a 2-hour hot wash. DD went to school in floods of tears. Dog survived.....and went from grey to white. Thank goodness!

I am now not even allowed to give the dog a hand wash.

Very embarrassing but I managed to launder a vibrator wrapped up in bedding at a laundrette I was mortified when it dropped out as I took the washing out

I am going to check my washer for cats every time now and I dont even own one !
I have washed my wallet with money , bank card , bus pas ,stamps on many occasions all except the stamps survived the last time I did that I had just bought a book of 12 1st class stamps , a expensive mistake.
Sanitary towels, (un used ) from my black jeans pocket that was a royal pain in the ass to clean up .
How is it they can absorb a gallon of water but leak after a few drops of blood ? !

I’ve washed DPs wallet, golf tees, tissue, lighters and random small toys that DS has dropped and been picked up with the load.
