AIBU to ask: are there many childless people on mumsnet

I do have children but I often write about things not having to do with kids here and I have seen several people writing that they have no kids here. I just wonder how many people of mumsnet are kidsfree.

No children here! Though I’ve just found out that I’m expexting

WhenISnappedAndFarted · 18/07/2018 19:18

I'm childless. I heard about Mumsnet but never looked, because I'm not a Mum. I came across one of those many articles that end up on newspaper websites, discovered AIBU and I'm hooked!

Costacoffeeplease · 18/07/2018 19:19

Happily child free Smile

chockaholic72 · 18/07/2018 19:19

Single, no kids. Came on for the awesome gardening thread and drift a bit to other threads sometimes.

Congrats Lolarola 😀

ConfusedWife1234 · 18/07/2018 19:20

Child free through choice but have two step children and came here for advice on how to deal with it! Mostly get shit for being a step mum though.

RadioDorothy · 18/07/2018 19:23

Child free by choice, I'm just here for the gazillions of funny and interesting threads that are not about being a parent.

ConfusedWife1234 · 18/07/2018 19:23

Why? Step mums rule! Flowers

Very happily child free, I just like the threads. Although I have two nephews I see quite often so I can pick up tips here...

Childlessstepmum15 · 18/07/2018 19:25

Haha thanks confused, I think so too, but sometimes get a tough ride. Too much care you’re interfering, not enough you’re a cold heartless bitch who should leave them immediately.

trinity0097 · 18/07/2018 19:26

No kids.

The people on here tend to be of a similar age to me, and the general chit chat stuff is what I come for

RoseWhiteTips · 18/07/2018 19:26

I think you mean “child free”, OP. Some people make a choice.

CrispbuttyNo1 · 18/07/2018 19:26

No kids here.. I work with them though... that’s plenty for me 😂

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 18/07/2018 19:26

Child free by choice and I originally joined Mumsnet for The Litter Tray.

Sarahlou63 · 18/07/2018 19:27

No children but lots of animals!

Shootfirstaskquestionslater · 18/07/2018 19:27

Child free here too although I am trying. I first came here for advice a few years ago and I’m still here I like the AIBU page.

learntoletgo · 18/07/2018 19:46

I might think about kids when I stop feeling like a child myself. Grin

Chesntoots · 18/07/2018 19:48

Very happily childfree!!

jemmstar1980 · 18/07/2018 19:50

Childfree by choice Smile

seventhgonickname · 18/07/2018 19:52

I do have a child but joined because my marriage was deteriorating and I needed to know I was not alone and gain from others strength going through what I knew was inevitable. And to get up the courage.

Lexjo · 18/07/2018 19:54

Single and no kids. I like the atmosphere on here - mainly straight talking women, which I think is cool. I like style and beauty, relationships and AIBU boards the best.

SerenDippitty · 18/07/2018 19:54

Childless not originally by choice - couldn’t conceive. But it’s not such a bad life.

Luglio · 18/07/2018 19:54

Blissfully childfree. I'm here for the lols.

LanguidLobster · 18/07/2018 19:55

I don't have children, I would have liked to but ex was a gaslighter and abusive and I became more and more hesitant and unsure of myself, so didn't go ahead. Arguments increased.

If we'd tried and had been able to I would have wanted them to have a nice, stable life.

Same as childless step mum... these days I stay near the litter tray. Cat people are nicer than some of the people on the step parents forum
